Will Danny carry his power @ 147 and make a big statement against a tough guy in Guerrero ?

guerrero is totaly past. he doesnt looks ready. but danny has no power at weltweight. i expect ud win for danny, in a good fight, but danny wont look impressiv and should stay away from top welterweights.

I think Danny's brain trust chose Guerrero because Robert has been slowing down for awhile now. So I hope the Ghost turns back the clock and beats his ass. All that I know for sure is that Danny doesn't have to really win to get the win, if it's close he'll get handed another one.

Garcia wins this wide decision. Not quite a shutout as he will switch off for a couple of rounds.
Scores will be around 118-110.
Awful fight unless they are lining up the Thurman fight and are hoping Garcia does a better job on Guerrero and helps sell Thurman.

well, Guerrero may look on a slide of his prime but his last 2 losses are against top welters (Floyd and Thurman). Also his last fight (a close one) was against a good fighter in Aaron Martinez who beat Alexander.

Guerrero has to be in top notch shape and put a real beating on Danny to get the nod in this fight.

I really hope they go after Thurman if Danny looks good in this fight.

Danny will win a lopsided Unanimous Decision. Scores something like 117-111 or 116-112.

Really don't think this is a good fight for Garcia to look impressive.
Guerrero might be on the slide but i think he is smart enough and busy enough to make this a close one.

I wouldn't write Guerrero off on this one. I think it will be a fight without a KO. I can see Garcia winning a decision, but will be one of the few that won't be shocked if Guerrero wins.

I tend to agree. I think that there is a decent possibility of another close win by Danny that nearly half the viewers dispute.

Don't think this fight is at bad.
But with Khan doing nothing with his career it should have been him v DSG for the WBC title.

Well, the second fight has to happen.

Danny said that he's feeling much stronger @ 147 but I think his best days were @ 140. I would like to see him being tested against Porter / Thurman / Brook / Bradley or Khan.

Depends what's left of Guerrero.
Have a hunch that the Thurman fight took a real physical toll on the Ghost.
It was crazy for him to take on Martinez just 3 months after that brutal encounter. He should have instead rested his body for 6 months but I think PBC wanted him back on TV in short order.
Guerrero's almost 33, and it would appear his career is now headed downward.
At his best, the undersized Guerrero would have trouble with the slicker, naturally bigger Garcia. As a fading fighter, Guerrero will probably have difficulty lasting the distance. A sympathetic ref will probably save him from absorbing a ton of punishment by around the 9th round.
If it goes to the cards, expected a lopsided result in favor of Garcia.
Oddsmakers currently list Garcia as a hefty 9-1 favorite.

Garcia is "exposed" in so much as now there's a lot of tape on him and a really good scouting report can be generated. I think that has hurt him in subsequent fights. Guerrero deserved the L against Aron Martinez and has taken some harsh losses recently. That being said, I think he keeps himself in good condition physically and Garcia's lack of elite hand speed or power means that Guerrero may make it more of a fight and win a few rounds. He won't win, but I assume he'll make Garcia look ordinary again.

Yeah. Depending on how good he looks against Guerrero it will give us a clue if Danny can compete with the top welters. Guerrero is turned out to be a stepping stone @ 147.

Even though Guerrero is no tomato can, this is intended to be another tune up bout for Garcia to get used to fighting at 147 before fighting a top contender. Guerrero, like Malignaggi, has fought world class opponents at welterweight but has struggled in recent fights against Thurman and Aron Martinez (though the Martinez struggles were more likely caused by returning too quickly after the Thurman fight).
Barring a new and reborn version of Guerrero showing up, Garcia's youth and power should be enough to overcome Guerrero's experience by a TKO around Round 8.

Yeah, Guerrero took some punishment from Thurman but he's a tough sob. Somehow he's able to give his opponents tough fights.

WBC announced that Floyd's WBC 147 title is in line for this fight. The winner of Garcia-Guerrero fight will have to defend it against Khan.
