Aside from the fact that he only looks like Greb if you squint really hard, close one eye, and stretch your imagination you would have notice if you had read the comments that these films came from England.

So was Harry Greb banned from visiting England ?
BTW can you prove that the particular beach footage is from England?
Does everyone on it there have big ears and bad teeth?
Which beach resort do you asscertain it may be of?
perhaps Great Yarmouth?

BTW the song Happy Days are Here again was published in 1929.
However the beach footage is undated so possibly it could be from the
early 1920's or even earlier.
Although perhaps klompton could pin point an even more accurate date
based on his experise of the swimwear that was worn by the general public during that period .

Perhaps someone could scan a screen shot of the man there
and then we can compare it with other known photos of Harry Greb.
The ears are almost as good as fingerprints in making a confirmed identity from what I understand
from watching tv.

It's almost certainly Harry Greb at Skegness.

It's a well known fact that the Greb family took charabanc trips each year to popular seaside resorts in England.

My great Uncle Herbert said, as a young man, he often saw Harry riding the dodgems at Cleethorpes on bank holidays.

Congratulations on more amazing detective work Brutu.

that boy's nickname was hairy crab, which
resulted in confusion throughout his life.

It seems fairly obvious to me that is it must be Harry Greb at Coney Island in 1921.
Why else would a crowd gather around?
just to watch some ordinary schmuck punch a tetherball back and forth I arsk ?

I've read guys saying that there are some collectors with Greb footage stashed...how likely is that?

the song is from 1930 not nessacarily the footage.
The didnt have MTV back then.
and there is no way knowing if all those beach scenes are from England
unless you can point out some kind of landmarks.

well......... putting the film together does not mean that some clips might not be older.

And besides, why would something as wimpy as a little bout with death keep Greb from a photo shoot?

He overcame more than that many times in his ring career.

I mean we're talkin' Harry Greb, not Buster Douglas.
