There is no world beater in this division which makes it very interesting and all pick em fights. we still do not know how good Barroso is yet either.
I like this this fight but fancy Linares's experience to be the difference.

How did you score the Burns fight? I thought it was close at the time and had Burns just edging it but that could be bias on my part. I haven't watched the fight back again.

The division is there for the taking, Linares is widely considered number one at the moment and I can't really argue with that, but the fact that he went life and death with Mitchell doesn't bode well for him, both Burns and Katsidis dealt with Mitchell with comparative ease and neither of them were considered number one.

Linares is a very good fighter when he gets into his groove, but he is vulnerable, Zlatcanins best bet is to apply the pressure early and try to wear him down.

Flanagan or Crolla would have a decent chance against the winner.

Got a feeling this is going to be a absolute tear up.
On paper it's a real 50/50 fight.

I wouldn't argue the winner being the number 1 in the weight but still very wide open.

I do think Terry Flanagan may be the real deal and will prove it in a few weeks time.

Wasn't that the fight where Sky's coverage dropped for 3 or 4 rounds? Not sure I ever actually went back and watched the rounds I missed.

I think you maybe right there. Maybe I just gave the rounds I didn't see to Burns by bias default and I am talking wet!

I have to dispute this. Mitchell is not world class at all. 3 stoppage losses on the 3 occasions you step up to world level shows you are not good enough in that.

Do agree that Flannigan should be looking to try and get the winner though

Mitchell fighting Tatli for European next.

I know and I probably should have explained myself a bit better. The 3 fighters who stopped him would probably all be considered by most to be at the lower end of the world class scale. For me, that makes him a lot lower than world class. European and no more.

Mitchell has had all the support (promoter, media) and opportunities that a fighter could ask for and has blown them all. The support he still gets and the standing he still seems to be held in on here is one of my little pet peeves I'm afraid, especially as there are fighters out there who would give anything to get one of the opportunities he had.

Sad true. He have support of promoters and they give him a chances all over again. There are so many better fighters then him who wait for a chance. Burns is much better then Mitchell, he show that when he knock him out. Zlaticanin will knock Mitchell out in 2 rounds.
