Broner is the new Judah

Broner at this stage is incredibly similar to an early 2000's Zab Judah... Except Judah was much more tolerable...
Both extremely athletic, flashy, fast, powerful, mouthy, but lack focus, especially when it mattered, and could be outworked.
I'll bet their careers end similarly as well.
Thoughts...

Judah and Toney were always the obvious comparisons. Mayweather was used because journalists are lazy and think all black people are the same.

I wouldn't say Judah was better than Broner in his prime, the only difference is Judah had more heart and also showed more heart in the ring,Judah didn't fear to fight the best, even when everyone knew he would loss.Judah been in the ring with the best & he also gave his best effort,he fought Danny Garcia,Lucas Matthysse,Amir Khan, and Miguel Cotto. You've would never see Broner trying to get in the ring with none of these type guys are even bother trying to defeat world class fighters like this.At Least Judah earn his IBF title without cherry picking & also defended it 5 times before losing to Kostya Tszyu.Adrien Broner would have to thank Al Haymon for everything he's accomplish, the only thing he done great in his career was beating Antonio Demarco & defeated Paulie Malignaggi.

Maybe but he does appear to have a stronger mental focus than Zab, his problem appears to be that he relies on that shoulder roll too much and doesn't know how to be a true counterpuncher when he is being bullrushed/attacked.

I wouldn't think so,Judah lost to paulie by a strong decision and judah didn't do well in the fight at all.How could he defeat Broner when he couldn't even defeat Paulie,Paulie was standing in front of him the whole fight and he still couldn't bring it nor hurt him.Zab just gave him the fight,it didn't even look like he was trying to make a effort to win at all.

Judah in his prime was a lot better than Broner is or ever will be. I figure Broner would beat him if they fought now, but that's because Judah has just about had it.

Judah's been scheduled for fights that have been called off about 3 times in the last 6 months. Don't know what's up with that, but if it keeps up promoters are gonna get tired of trying to book him.
No reason for Broner to fight Judah at this point. Broner is relevant at the moment in the sport, Judah isn't anymore.

Wasn't aware of the called of Judah fights. That stinks.
I was a Judah fan for most of his career. And, at times, he was the most irritating fighter I would root for. When he was on, he was on. But, unfortunately he was just too volatile.

I don't know how you could compare a 26 year old 4 division WC to an old boxer who never fulfilled his potential but it doesn't surprise me. I"m not a fan of Broner, the person, but I still appreciate talent when i see it and I still feel like Broner is one of the top P4P fighters in the world right now. He's going shut a lot of people up in the next few years.

I take it you feel Broner has proven a lot more at 26 than did Judah when he was the same age?
Judah at Broner's age was in a similar boat. Around the same age, Judah was a former SLW champion and an undisputed WW champion. They are similar in many many ways when Judah was Broner's age. But, if you want to argue, you could argue that Judah beat better opposition to get his belts than did Broner in all of his championship fights.

'Championship' fights are a ridiculous resume barometer in this era.

Yeah Judah gave Garcia a tilt but the facts still stands,Judah still lost and also was knockdown in the 8th round as well.Styles make fights but Broner wouldn't still prove anything fighting Judah,Judah haven't been in the ring for 2 years and is over his prime,Judah is still trying have comeback fights and both of them already been canceled & I bet ever comeback fight, will be against bums or a average fighter,Judah wouldn't defeat any top 10 are top 5 fighter in the division.

Judah was probably better, by miles
I must get round to watching his heroic stand against Cotto some day, in front of many thousands of Puerto Ricans. I only ever read about it in the Boxing News.

While Broner probably has a better chin, Judah actually knew how to move. Judah had more complete talents than Broner on average.
