Hope I am wrong but I just dont see Eubank taking this fight, I suspect he will go another route.
Hopefully not though as its a fight I would like to see.

Must have been a big money purse bid for CEJ to want the fight

Blackwell is never in a dull fight as he takes a few , but of late he seems to be coming on well and hope he is strong enough to beat junior , but he's got to be a big underdog in this one .

I fancy Blackwell in this one; would actually be very surprised if Eubank Jr goes ahead with the fight.

£260k, split 60-40 in Blackwell's favour.
Typical Mick Hennessey this, why the fornicate is he putting the fight on in a shopping centre when he could do it in an arena and sell 5k without any problems? He'll end up losing a fortune with the amount he's paying for the fight.

Where are those figures from mate?
Cant see Eubank taking those sums.

That was my initial thought.
If it happens I think it will be a barburner.

Hearn interview with IFL, he bid £205k, Warren £150k and Hennessey £260k.

Good old Mick. Nobody could accuse him of making narrow pennypinching decisions on behalf of himself.
Id love to know what his motives are. I don't know, maybe he's got a deep belief Blackwell does Eubank, trying to show faith in him or something?
Anyway fair play, good to see he's still putting his hat in the ring. I thought the gratitude (and loyalty) Fury showed for him after the klit fight seemed very much genuine.
I like Mick. He's promoted a few of my favourite ever live shows.

From a packed o2 to a shopping centre. Hearn will have s field day with this.

Hearn reckons there will have been an under the table deal for Blackwell to accept less than he's getting on paper to get the fight. He also says Jr is on much more contractually and Blackwell isn't worth nearly £150,000. It's an expensive fight.

Yeah exactly what mickey said. If Hennessy has done a deal with Blackwell and said for example I'll give you 70k for this fight and Blackwell agreed it. Hennessy gets to put in a bigger purse bid as he will not be paying out the full amount. So of that 260000k Eubanks would get 104000k off a 60-40 split and Blackwell would get the agreed amount. Still a lot of money for a fight to take place in blue water

Sounds about right: seems unlikely Blackwell would be getting more than Eubank Jnr despite the official rules and regulations regarding champion and challenger.

Is that confirmed that it is on at Bluewater Kent?
If so that is crazy.

That all makes sense and it's a fight I'd like to see.
Both lads start slowly, Blackwell would have a good go.
I just can't see it materialising.

When I joked about Blackwell's last fight being at the Inverness leisure centre people thought I was on a wind up.

I like Blackwell got to respect him fighting Murray after about 7/8 fights gave a good account of himself vs Billy Joe and heard he was robbed in the Ukraine although I've never seen the fight!
Won a few quid when I backed him to stop Ryder! but don't think I will back him in this one fairplay to both lads if it takes place as not many would fight Nick especially given Eubanks position with the WBA

Great fight. I can see it being competitive for a few middle rounds but Junior to win on the cards. Around the 117-111 mark.
It's one of those fights that even in defeat Blackwell can come out of this well with a good performance.
Great exposure for him.
