Who would win and why?

Fury points, though he might even stop him late. And he makes Wilder look terrible in the process.
Fury is simply a much better boxer.
Wilder has the small matter of Povetkin to get through first ....(Fury beats Wlad again).

Fury is definitely the better boxer. The most likely outcomes are obviously Fury on points or Wilder by ko - if Wilder did manage to land one of his huge haymakers, I don't see Fury taking it.
Edit: I actually think Povetkin beats them both anyway.

Jess Willard W12 Jose Ribalta.
(Not really a fair comparison, 'cos Ribalta had a better jab.)

Think its proven wilder has power and can change the fight with one shot,i think fury will be similar to the wlad fight but will get caught because once wilder hurts u he doesnt let u off and wilder isnt as gun shy as wlad so id go for a wilder k.o maybe 9th/10th round

Fury should have the boxing ability to decision Wilder.
Wilder can bang but he's still too crude for me to be able to compete with someone who can box. As such, I reckon Fury is capable enough to keep his chin out the way and beat him on points.
If Fury gets clocked though - he's out.

I went with draw. Not because I think it was a draw but because there wasn't any option for a DQ result.
One of the hot headed oaks will get dq'd

I edited the poll to include DQ, but it seems to have wiped the votes so far. FFS!

Fury points. Wilder struggled to land anything on a small southpaw he will struggle like fornicate against a switch hitting big tall unpredictable Fury. Fury will jab his way to a points decision while Wilder windmills with arms and legs flying everywhere.

Wilder doesn't seem to have developed since taking the belt. Fury would be rightly wary about his power, but would peck away at him all night without much trouble and stop him in the mid rounds.

Fury on points 8-4 .9-3 , might need to get off the floor. Wilder dangerous every second of the fight

Fury stops him in 7-8 rounds. Far better boxer and Wilder has a glass chin so it could end earlier than that. Would take something special from Wilder to win, he doesn't have the boxing skills to do it on points, he'll come off second best in a war and I don't see him landing anything that would take Fury out.

wilder is nowhere near furys level. lunging around the ring arms flailing in the air against relatively moderate opposition, fury would find it so easy to hit him open constantly

Fury the better boxer. Wilder with a punchers chance.
Fury experienced enough to keep Wilder at bay for 12 whilst racking up the rounds along the way. As always, any lapse in concentration lands Fury sat on his bum wondering where he is.

Does anyone give Wilder a chance against Povetkin? If he loses that then a fight with Fury won't be likely.

Wilder has nothing more than a punchers chance against Fury. Fury could coast to a points win but I think he'd want to stop Wilder so I went for Fury KO.

I see Wilder catching Fury late. Last night was not a good performance from Wilder, but I am sure he will prepare better for Fury.

Wilder can box as well as fight, but his style is to knock people out rather than leave the decision to the judges. Against Stiverne, his only points victory, he won every round.

I do but it will be Wilders hardest fight to date.

Fury and I'd say by a wide UD too, I really think he'd confuse the crap out of Wilder

Key to that is "against Stiverne". He was neck and neck with Artur Szpilka. A top HW should be winning rounds comfortably against someone like that whether they're going for the KO or not.

This, Wilder has a punchers chance that's it same as Vlad in the rematch IMO.
