Decent enough couple of fights on allegedly Friday night. Walsh and Patterson favourites with the bookies which seems about right on what
they have all achieved so far.

I know some of the Scottish lads rate Traynor, he looks quite tidy but there are a few gaps in the defence for a lad who was very successful as an amateur. Down 3 times as a pro but have no idea to be fair if they were slips or such like. Whatever they were he got up and won so credit to him there. Snappy combination puncher and if he settles into the fight I could see it being quite decent. Walsh has fought at a higher level obviously as a pro and on what we have seen I would fancy him but from the little i have seen of Traynor there is clearly ability there as plenty of you will already know.

Patterson against Aston is interesting in the sense that Aston seems to be the naturally bigger man and I may be wrong but he may well have a weight advantage on the night for what that would be worth. At times Patterson has looked decent and he will need to be winning this if he wants to reach the heights he has mentioned. I am looking forward to seeing both fights but would be happy to hear from some of you guys who will have seen a lot more of the north of Watford lads than I have.

Aston's on a really good run to be fair (ignore the loss to Welborn he was very unlucky not to get the nod in that fight). His 4th round win over Nathan Graham last year was arguably the best of his career. I know a couple of people close to his gym and word is hes in great shape for this and firing on all cylinders.

Obviously Patterson will start favourite but as you say Aston should come in the bigger man. My only worry is he does tend to carry that chin high.

Team Tank

Walsh vTraynor. Walsh has far greater experience on the bigger stage, while Traynor hasn't had that type of exposure. It looks though that Walsh is not a particularly big puncher and Traynor is resilient. Traynor is a very slow starter and could be caught in the first couple of rounds. If he survives these early scares he'll dig in and be competitive.
It looks like a late stoppage win for Walsh.

Can't really argue with the bookies, although the odds for Traynor and Aston are very similar and I give Aston a much better chance of winning of the two. Fancy Walsh to stop Traynor in 6-7 rounds, too open defensively, especially when he throws and I think Walsh will be a level above on Friday. Can see the Patterson-Aston fight being quite close, 115-113/116-112 sort of range in favour of Patterson, Aston's a good fighter who hasn't really done as well as a pro as he was expected to when he turned over, this is a big opportunity for him and I'm expecting him to put up a good fight, especially with him likely to have a significant weight advantage over Patterson.

I fancy Traynor to beat Walsh. He looks so beatable and I see Traynor outboxing him to a 115-113 decision.
I fancy Patterson to win quite easily. He's slick when he wants to be. Around 116-112

Wen Aston turned over I'm sure he was up at super middle so he cud have a big advantage weight wise fight night.. Heard he was unlucky against Welbourn he faded badly I was told late on. Not seen anything of Patterson so not commenting on possible outcome. Same with Walsh traynor . Like Walsh tho and his a sound lad.

Seen both lads a few times with the Walsh v Traynor.. I've seen Traynor in the gym he is very very talented and will have a speed advantage over Walsh. He is vulnerable early but I'm sure that will have been worked on. I don't think we have seen Darren at his best and if he produces it on Friday he has a very very good chance. Ryan is the best of the 3 Walsh brothers technically and he adjusts well in fights. Both fighters very under rated I'm looking forward to this one.

As for Patterson v Aston I think this is a one way fight Patterson should be too good

He's the better boxer. Go watch their fights. Liam has an interview where he says Ryan is the best of the 3. Ryan is a better boxer. Liam is a different level over all but doesn't make him technically better. Liam hits harder is more of a southpaw than anything which helps his awkwardness and he's that little bit bigger

Big step up for Traynor who ive only read about in the papers ,he seems confident enough though from what ive read,hopefully he can pull it off,Scotland's in dire need of a champion at the moment,having not seen Darren box before its hard to tell how good he is,its a great oppurtunity for him,nothing to lose really,its getting him in the spotlight and on the telly,Walsh is a tidy little fighter but far from flawless,i thought he beat Mouinemne fairly convincingly but there were a lot of people who thought Samir won so im hoping Traynor can expose some of they flaws

cant see past a walsh/ Patterson double here- I really rate Patterson hopefully 2016 will be a big year for him

Patterson was outstanding.
Only behind Smith, Rose and Williams domestically.

Patterson is the one they will all want to avoid, I feel he beats anyone domestically, hes really come on and is better suited @light - middleweight
