I'd suggest that this reflects a little of what boxing delivers today. Obviously a 'top two' is debatable and subjective and also in some cases their meeting is not really warranted (if they'd recently fought each other recently, prior to 2015.) Still, there are 17 weight divisions.

Mayweather-Pacman for starters. Any others?

There won't be any chance of a cruiser weight bout being metioned. I don't think there's been a unification since Haye vs Maccarinelli

I don't think many would have had Tyson rated above Povetkin last year prior to Wlad-Fury. Their rematch is the heavyweight's top two for 2016 though.

Middleweight division did also - alas obviously not Cotto-Golovkin though.

Surprised Kameda was 5, is that for their first or second bout.
Certainly though one of the two bouts would have seen a collective higher rating than 4 & 5

Both in the top 10 was the Kameda rematch.
Stieglitz at 4 is shocking.

Based on the rankings at the time of the fights Mcdonnell and Ioka are the only fighters with 2 top 5 wins and they both won against the odds and triumphed again in the rematch.

I know Stieglitz at 4 seems high but it was a 60/40 fight beforehand. Obviously in hindsight Stieglitz didn't have much to offer.

Abraham actually had a ridiculously good year and bravo to him for taking Ramirez next. Another top 10 fighter.
