His former trainer James Ali Bashir said Harris was a top-level talent, but extremely lazy guy. Bashir also says Maurice gave Lennox Lewis hell in sparrings and that Lewis rated him very highly. Harris was definitely an underachiever. He had good size, speed, skills (offensive and defensive), was very smart fighter and had decent power (despite his low KO%). He had a really bad chin though and awful work ethic. That's why I respect guys like Lennox, Wlad, Vitaly and Floyd (though I don't like their styles) - because they worked hard and fulfilled their respective potentials. Harris didn't even come close to fulfilling his one, but he can only blame himself.

Always been a fan of gimme some Mo Harris.....soft chin and lazy but fun to watch.
