Number 3 and number 4 in Super Wealterweight division both have the same, same birthday so I'm guessing they must be Twins but why would you call your kids the same, didn't Gourge Forman do the same? Is they any others?

My brother pat Doherty fought John Doherty for the British super feather weight title and johns first name was pat as well but he used john so there wasn't 2 pat Doherty's.

Gomez was born Michael Armstrong.

Few others recently have been Liam Walsh and Patrick Walsh at Super Feather, DP Carr who fought at the York Hall on Friday is only fighting under that name because Dan Carr's at his weight, they were actually scheduled to fight each other in October and Boy Jones had to change his from Ben Jones due to the Crawley super featherweight, who has now moved down to featherweight.

Fighter used to just put a place name in from of thier name, You had Lockport Jimmy Duffy, Oakland Jimmy Duffy, Westside Jimmy Duffy & Aberdeen (Portland) Jimmy Duffy all fighting in the same era and in the same weight classes

Although, I'm not sure if this was a case of fighters with the same name adopting a nick name to differentiate between them or guys with different names pinching the name of a well known boxer to make himself more recognisable (Oakland's real name was Hyman Gold)

There were about 200 Jack Dempseys for instance, there were "young" Jack Dempseys, Barbados Jack Dempseys, Black Jack Dempseys, Jack "pseudenym" Dempsey , Italian, Indian, Californian and canadian Jack Dempseys.
The were all probably named after the heavy weight Manassa Mauler, but the funny thing is, he was named after the middleweight from the 1880/90s Nonpariel Jack Dempsey, who ironically ended up not being 'without parrallel' when it came to fighters with his own name

I loved shaka a good no nonsense fighter,I met him at a gym in Streatham when he was on the way up and I was about 18/19 a nice guy as well

Your brother was Pat Doherty? Wow... I remember him... Exciting fighter. Was part of that weird super feather British title jinx in the 80s where everyone seemed to lose the title in an upset in their first defence...
