I dont see Chisora getting inside Pulevs Jab. It will be similar to Fury fight. Chisora gets pummeled and either stopped late or loose wide points decision.

I went for Pulev points. Skilful and technically sound fighter. Think he'll have too much in his armoury for Del to cope with. Should be a decent enough contest though if it come off.

I went for Pulev.

Would far prefer to see Del have a crack at the comebacking Helenius, which could be winnable, but some of the better-connected guys on the board have said that really isn't a starter.

Can just see Pulev using plenty of the jab from distance, being always a little quicker and basically taking a leaf out of Fury's book.

I don't want to be too judgemental about Bulgaria or Germany; but if the fight is over there then one suspects that Del will have to put it all on the line and really go for Pulev. And that will suit Pulev just fine.

Pulev is the much better boxer so I expect the bout to go in his favour by a wide margin.
I'd like to say heavyweight boxing always has a chance to have an upset somewhere but I don't think Chisora has either the skills to close him down and control the distance or the stamina to keep throwing knockout worthy punches for 12 rounds against someone who really is at the world champions level.

Whilst Pulev won't destroy Del Boy, I think it could be painful and one sided can a little like the Fury II fight.

Weirdly, vs Joshua I could see Chisora putting it on AJ and getting underneath his unconvincing jab and banging away to the body and making it very uncomfortable for AJ for 5 or 6 rounds before losing a fair 3 or 4 round decision loss.

Pulev is a better boxer than Joshua and at this stage I don't see him even giving more than a round away to Chisora.

But Chisora has sparred them both and opted for Pulev for less money, so there must be a plan in place ...

Strange that Chisora says that he won't fight Joshua because AJ doesn't have anything he wants, but is willing to go to Bulgaria to fight Pulev. Surely he'd get paid more for a decent sized domestic fight?

probably thinks beating Pulev for the EBU will lead to more money vs Joshua down the line

I don't get it though, I thought Chisora and Joshua were 1 and 2 in the mandatory rankings (after Helenius vacated and Klitchko/Povetkin are occupied with world fights)? For Chisora to fight Pulev for the European, that mean's Joshua relinquishes his mandatory position for the fight?

Chisora normally loses when he steps up in class & I can't see that changing here.

Like many others have said, I can see Pulev using his extra size and strength to bully Chisora. He will use that jab, frustrate Chisora who will have to work extra hard, get tired, and then lose by wide points of late stoppage.

Decent fight for me, Pulev may have a very good jab but he can be very lazy in his fights as well, If I knew Chisora would be fit and also interested (Both Fury fights he seemed as if he could not care less) then for me it's a very interesting fight.

I can see Pulev winning on points.

It should be close though as I don't see a huge difference between them.

Really hope Chisora is in shape and motivated for this.

Pulev gets a lot of credit for some reason but in reality he is just another ordinary heavyweight who has to be considered 'world level' by default in a bad division that thankfully will not be bad for much longer.

The Chisora that took it to Vitali would have won this one. Now, probably not, but it's a lot closer than some folk think.

Joshua would absolutely smash Chisora and I say that as someone that isnt a huge fan of the former.

But I have a nasty feeling that he'll box Del on his own terms and that Chisora lacks the spite/energy of old to upset the odds.

With all these prospects starting to come to the fray, fighters like Pulev will start to drift down the rankings, unless he produces an upset in a big fight. The fact that many (like myself) see Pulev winning this comfortably, suggests that Chisora is even in a more false position as a world level fighter. This could be the battle of the gatekeepers. Pulev has only had one top 100 fight since Thompson so his ranking is largely dining out on Thompson/Ustinov wins.

I'd favour Pulev in this. He lacks head movement and can be outworked, but has a good jab, good accuracy, power and chin. Chisora will struggle with the jab and accuracy and I doubt he can hurt Pulev, although he stands a chance of nicking it on points if a) his chin holds up and b) he turns up in good enough shape to throw enough shots. More likely he doesn't.

Pulev's power is pretty average and I don't think his chin is that great either.
