No. He's getting TV exposure over here in a likely effort to secure the winner of the Quigg/Frampton fight. When he wins he'll be the WBA mandatory, the winner of the PPV on the 27th will have a big media presence and he'll be hoping for a good pay day

Rigondeaux should have fought a B-level British/Irish bantamweight a couple of years ago, when it was obvious that a few of the best opponents for him were British/Irish.

Not really. It's a smart move IMO. The opponent clearly isnt up to his level but he gets seen by the british market in the hope of getting the Frampton/Quigg winner. It's a smart business move.
