Sam was dudded in his last fight over there, and this is a similar situation, where his opposition, a fighter on the make, will not wish to have a loss on his record, and get a home-town decision.

Sam will have to KO him to have any chance.

Why are people saying Soliman is an accident waiting to happen?
His age? Is he getting punchy? Too many injuries?

I think it's just Judah Ben Fur saying that. Sam has copped very few beatings throughout his career and is extremely fit apparently and highly competitive even at his age.

Hard to see Sam stopping Douglas. Though I'm sure like everybody else Sam fights he'll give him trouble.

Sammy Soliman is currently IBF #7 and Douglas WBA #6 and WBO #4.

Needless to say a tough win but a must win for Sammy if he is to stay relevant internationally.

SAM Soliman aims to put himself back in the hunt for another title tilt with a win over Antoine Douglas.

The former IBF middleweight titleholder will take on rising and unbeaten American middleweight star Antoine Douglas at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center in Pennsylvania on Saturday, March 5th, live on Showtime Sports.

In agreeing to the bout, Soliman (44-13, 18 KOs) maintains a hard won reputation as a fighter who will go anywhere and fight anyone in his quest for second middleweight title.

“Antoine Douglas is half my age and is forging a fierce reputation as a potential middleweight champion,”

“And I’m in his way,” said Soliman.

“This is going to be a tough fight, the type of fight I need to put me back in contention for a title shot,”

“I’m up for the challenge even though Douglas camp’s late signing gives me only four weeks to prepare,”

“Anyone who knows me, knows that fitness is my game.”

Douglas and Soliman aren’t strangers with the pair sparring before Soliman’s fight with Jermain Taylor in 2014.

“We’ve both had a good look at each other,” he continued. “So that makes this bout even more interesting.”

“Douglas is protecting his unbeaten record and looking to move up. He’s flashy and he’s got fast hands.

“I know I’m in great shape. I have a great team behind me,” Soliman concluded.

“I’m a former world champion and I bring twenty years of experience that Douglas doesn’t have to one of the most important fights of my career.”

Soliman’s manager, David Stanley is currently in negotiations to have the Showtime televised event available in Australia.

The biggest challenge with Sam is his awkwardness. That Douglas has sparred him is a tremendous advantage to him and makes me think Sam has little chance in this one. By geez I hope he proves me wrong though.

I think this goes much he same way as the Wade fight - Sam will dominate punch stats and most likely win on the opinion of all those who watch, other than the judges.
I agree with the earlier comment, Sam needs a KO to get the decision !!
