most talent packed division right now'?

the big names around welter are gone
or on the way out. great fighters hanging
around scatter plotted over different other
divisions. to me there is most density of
talent at ...

heavy.

heavy is improving but still dire, nearly every other division has more appeal IMO

IMO the Heavyweights have the most appeal. Not only because they're Heavyweights, but Fury, Wilder, and Martin are quite an unpredictable lot. And unpredictability is Fun. :TU:

Heavyweight most talent packed? Are you kidding me?

Wilder is an overrated football player who's ducking Povetkin.
Charles Martin could pass for a cab driver, and probably would get knocked out by a fat 60 year old Lennox Lewis.

The only talented fighters in the division are Joshua and Parker.
Fury looked just as bad as Klitschko did in their fight.

Welterwight division is by far the most talent packed.

Wouldn't say heavyweight has the most talent but it is the most interesting division.

When has Martin showed himself to be an unpredictable fighter? And I thought Fury's last three fights were dross, with little action and no drama or momentum shifts.

Martin will come and go in a blink of an eye and with Fury the build up is usually better than his fights but he keeps wining so more fun to come.

Light heavyweight is the best right now.

There are some very talented, exciting boxers coming up, such as David Benavidez, Dmitry Bivol, Alexander Gvozdyk, Artur Beterbiev, Radivoje Kalajdzic, and Vyacheslav Shabranskyy. There are some very good contenders such as Andrzej Fonfara and Adonis Stevenson.

And of course there's the champion Sergey Kovalev.

I have no idea how Martin would do against a contender; he's only fought one and that ended in an unfortunate injury. His chin and heart are mysteries but he's a southpaw with some pop. The Fury-Wlad fight was unpredictable because it was so boring.

On the other hand, Fury's fight with Cunningham was quite interesting.

Sure, a Crawford or GGG may be better "P4P," but my point was on unpredictability.

Probably still Welterweight. Pacquiao, Bradley, Brook, Porter, Thurman, Khan, Garcia, Spence etc.

Not 1 division but the region of Super Bantam to Feather has a lot of good fighters as well. Rigondeaux, Donaire, Frampton, Quigg, Selby, Lomachenko, Walters, Russell jr, Santa Cruz. Plenty of good fights to be made between 122-126lbs.

my arguments for heavy:

haye
fury
joshua
wilder
parker

and wlad is not dead yet either. i feel like
welter is second. it was for years on top
with floyd, manny, cotton, shane, oscar
and so on and so forth. but i feel like
things could change now.

The most talented is the division with the most contenders, an avarage men weights about 73kg I guess, not sure how many pounds that is.

Somehow the best boxers will allways be heavyweights, because dwarfs can't beat monsters one on one.

I've seen plenty of monsters fall to a smaller dwarfs.

There will allways be David and Goliath stories, and when they happen you will remember them, but normally the best of the world isn't a dwarf, isn't a woman, isn't injured, isn't a 5 year old, a 50 year old or a cripple.

I'm a boxing fan, that means I want to see skills, heart and drama, if any of those things apply to the lumbering beasts we call the heavyweights then I must of missed it.

exactly, light heavyweight is the #1 division in boxing right now. nothing tops....

kovalev
ward
adonis
bertbebiev
egor
fonfara
gvozdyk

there is no other division in boxing where you could put 2 guys at the #1 spot right now. in light h. it is the rare case, it would not be crazy to put either kovalev or ward at the #1 spot. than the amount of undefeated talented boxers with excellent amateur background.
than even so there is kovalev & ward, yet still their are guys who are so strong that it would be not ludicrous to bet against kovalev and ward, considering how good adonis and bertebiev are.

Cruiserweight, Light Heavyweight and Super Featherweight stand out for me. Potentially both Super Bantamweight and Light Flyweight could have some great action in coming years though

It would be REALLY crazy to put Ward who haven't fought anybody at 175 in #1 spot. Ward from 2011 would have good potential to be #1 LHW at THAT TIME, but current Ward against Kovalev or Beterbiev ???

While heavyweight is arguably the most interesting at the moment, if we're talking about talent, it would be near the bottom of the heap. I think the winner is at the moment is probably welterweight, closely followed by light heavyweight.
