Boxer with most jabs thrown in a single fight?

Any idea?

Most I've ever seen was Manuel Medina against Johnny Tapia. He threw 1400 or so punches in that fight, and 1000 of them were jabs. I don't recall ever seeing a fighter throw more jabs than that, and most fighters don't even throw half that, even a great deal of the time in Total Punches they don't match that.

I'm ballparking it too. It was a little over 1000. I'd have to look up the punch stats about the fight to get the exact numbers, but I remember that clearly.

This confirms what I thought, and yes Medina's jab output in that fight is the all time Compubox record.

Medina got shafted hard in that fight.

I watched the fight yesterday and I agree, Medina won.

Virgil Hill is another that would win entire fights jabbing.

I have it in my Fight Film collection. I've seen it multiple times. Medina won 117-111 in my view. Definitely was a terrible decision.
