I'm a fan of AJ but can't really argue with that. Regardless of who's got the other belts everybody knows Fury is the man. The rest are just belt holders and nothing more.milpool wrote:Two novices fighting for the world title...
This sets up a huge Joshua /Fury fight within the next 12 months or so. I don't see why it wouldn't happen, I genuinely don't think Joshua (or Hearn) would have any fear of facing Fury at all. It's big punchers they'll be more wary of.Stuarty30 wrote:I'm a fan of AJ but can't really argue with that. Regardless of who's got the other belts everybody knows Fury is the man. I wouldn't be surprised if he fights Fury. It makes sense financially. Don't think AJ is ready as things stand but if/when he beats Martin and gets a couple of decent defences in then he'll be in a better position.Boxerbeetle wrote:This sets up a huge Joshua /Fury fight within the next 12 months or so. Absolutely, thing is, Joshua probably made more fighting Whyte than Fury did fighting Klitschko. That's why Josua is getting the rankings and early title shot. No more than a title holder, Fury is the champ. If both can stay unbeaten and providing Joshua uses his title correctly ( as in learns fast, whilst on the job with his defences ) then Fury - Joshua next year sometime will make them an absolute fortune.Stuarty30 wrote:I'm a fan of AJ but can't really argue with that. Be serious, Boxerbeetle.Boxerbeetle wrote:This sets up a huge Joshua /Fury fight within the next 12 months or so. I don't see why it wouldn't happen, I genuinely don't think Joshua (or Hearn) would have any fear of facing Fury at all. It's big punchers they'll be more wary of.
I've already said I never joke about boxing, so I am being serious. I'm not saying they will view it as an easy win, simply that they will have no fear of facing Fury. They'll have fear of punchers like Povetkin, Haye or Wilder who could potentially derail Joshua with one punch, but there's little chance of Fury doing that.Horse wrote:Be serious, Boxerbeetle.Boxerbeetle wrote:This sets up a huge Joshua /Fury fight within the next 12 months or so. Hearn will have a lot of fear of Fury, as Fury will probably win.
If you think Joshua will win, then fine, but to suggest that Hearn thinks Fury will be an easy win for Joshua is simply daft.
Povetkin - 71% KO rate.Boxerbeetle wrote:I've already said I never joke about boxing, so I am being serious. Povetkin definitely hits harder than Fury, it's not even close.Horse wrote:Povetkin - 71% KO rate.Boxerbeetle wrote:I've already said I never joke about boxing, so I am being serious. Fury - 72% KO rate.
I don't think Povetkin hits much harder than Fury, if at all.
Fury would have a very good chance of stopping Joshua if they fought.
Fury's style isn't about power punching.Boxerbeetle wrote:Povetkin definitely hits harder than Fury, it's not even close.
Agree. Povetkin has fought at a higher level than Fury for a while now and has the better CV when it comes to opponents faced.Boxerbeetle wrote:Povetkin definitely hits harder than Fury, it's not even close.Horse wrote:Povetkin - 71% KO rate.Boxerbeetle wrote:I've already said I never joke about boxing, so I am being serious.
