Fights on according to garys facebook. sykes moving up from super feather how do u see this one going....
Same. I was shocked at how he lost to Mendy. Didn't look at the races at all and was bullied. I honestly thought we had a superstar on our hands. I still think he'll hit the heights of world level but it's back to the drawing board for now. Do you think he'll be looking to avenge the Mendy defeat this year or go a different route?Boxing Prospect wrote:Sykes gonna be under sized here, but the expected confidence building come back for Campbell
Do you not see Campbell coming back stronger from his loss? Happened to Burns earlier in his career and he came back and had great success. I see Campbell as having more natural ability than Burns tbh. One thing we learned from his loss was that he's tough enough. Maybe you're correct and he's just not as good as people thought. time will tell I suppose.daviddee wrote:I like Gary but think he should step away. Seemed a bit punchy in his last couple of fights.. He's had a very hard career. Was very drained at Super Feather. I can see Gary beating Luke though. . Luke is not as good as everyone thinks. Gary could out work him.. Depends how much Gary has to give..

Hearn talks shit we already know that.rio wrote:Hearn said cambell would be involved in a huge world level fight. He should have rematched mendy
I like Sykes & seen about half his fights live but he loses in every department here.Boxing Prospect wrote:Sykes gonna be under sized here, but the expected confidence building come back for Campbell

There seems to be something missing. . Ricky always had that extra bit of heart I don't see that in Luke. I think problem is he is over hyped.. He might still win a World title, just not on the level of the likes of Lomachenko as Hearn seems to think. . Mendy is very averageStuarty30 wrote:Do you not see Campbell coming back stronger from his loss? Happened to Burns earlier in his career and he came back and had great success. I don't think Gary will have much to give. I was meaning more Gary at his best. The step up may help him. He will probably get stoppedDavid McAllister wrote:daviddee wrote:I like Gary but think he should step away. Seemed a bit punchy in his last couple of fights.. He's had a very hard career. Sorry mate will have to disagree with that, I like Gary Sykes but he doesnt have the strength that Mendy has and can be KO'd when he comes forward, the only way he could beat Luke is by doing that and imo he gets beaten pretty easily.
There's not many in Lomachenko's class, he is an exceptional boxer.daviddee wrote:There seems to be something missing. . Ricky always had that extra bit of heart I don't see that in Luke. If there's a decent size Matchroom card in the summer hopefully he tries to avenge the Mendy defeat. Agree Cardle would be a good little fight. Both will know each other well from the amateurs.Yes We Can wrote:I'd have liked to have seen him rematch Mendy, i think he would win a return quite handily. Fighting Sykes at this point isn't really worth the time, would have been better off matching up for the British against Cardle.
