When is Lee Haskins going to make his first IBF title defence?

He hasn't fought in over 8 months since winning the title with no fight scheduled.

Is he going to make a voluntary defence or just wait for the mandatory challenger?

Think his biggest problem could be that even with the IBF belt he will be seen as high risk/low reward because he won't be able to tempt the best fighters with a big purse to get them to fight over here so it makes sense to force the fight to purse bids and his mandatory will either have to travel for the money offered or their team puts in a better offer that will mean Haskins loses home advantage.

Hall vs Guerrero is an eliminator, so might, sadly, end up being the winner of that in another 6 months =/

If Stuey wins, which I hope he does, that looks likely

I was there the night he fought haskins and haskins was good, Stuey just didn't turn up, haskins won fair and square and looked good doing it.

They have both been on different paths since but I know Stuey would love the chance to fight haskins again..i won't say anything other than I hope it happens.

I noticed someone on here saying recent IBF holders like Hall, McDonnell and Haskins and I never realised Haskins had won it. I thought he had a fight coming up soon but according to his record he won the INTERIM IBF belt some time last Summer.
Does that make him the current IBF world champion then? If so, then unless he's injured, you'd expect him to be using it to make money... Didn't Tyson Fury get stripped by the IBF for failing a time constraint or something?

Haskins got upgraded to full champ after Caballero was stripped for failing to make weight for their proposed fight on the Cotto/Canelo undercard :TU:
