This topic shouldn't be dismissed. Haymon is trying to work with other promoters.
However, the promoters under the HBO shield continue to play innocent.

Wade is nobody. When Haymon allows Wilder/Stevenson/Jacobs/Lara/Thurman/etc. fight on HBO, then we'll talk.

Wade is an unknown with very little profile since he's not a very exciting fighter. So of course Haymon would let him fight GGG. It's all upside. Wake me up when he makes GGG/Jacobs, or Thurman/Bradley, or Kovalev/Stevenson happen.

That said, Arum is no better. Haymon certainly didn't invent the "stars crushing cans" business model.

There was a large shake up at HBO sports at the end of the year that saw several execs leave. The newly appointed ones stated they were open to working with all promoters so these could be the first steps in a positive new direction to bring better fights

No, we'll talk now because what this indicates is that Haymon may not be the problem.

Maybe he realizes this PBC thing isn't going to work out like he expected so he is having to change plans.

Personally I don't read anything into it as he really doesn't have anything to gain from protecting wade like he probably thinks he does with his other assets.

maybe the case, but its golovkins mandatory. sole reason the fight got made. if he didn't make the wade fight he'd need pretty good reason to present as to why he didn't

Haymon had his chance to make an impact on boxing and instead put on network TV a bunch of crap outside of a few fights that no one wanted and he will be close to irrelevant soon. Haymon thought he had a long term plan but his window is going to close on him a lot earlier than he ever suspected would be the case.

It's a mandatory fight. Gaymon didn't make it because he offered up Wade.
