Seen this before.
Let me know where and when.
It took Povetkin what seemed a lifetime to fight Wladimir and look how that turned out, I'm not holding my breath although the match up is appealing.

Klitschko wanted to controll pretty much everything and Povetkin only had 14 pro fights on his name at the time, Klitschko even wanted to controll in what hotel Povetkin was sleeping and such things, ofcourse Povetkin couldn't accept such idiotic things.
Wilder and his team are similar idiots, they have to be completely unreasonable, otherwise Povetkin would have accepted ages ago. It already surprised me Wilder is now suddenly acting like he's the one who wants this fight. I do expect this fight to happen, but I still wouldn't be surprised if Wilder tries to sneak out in some way anyway.
I also wouldn't be surprised if Povetkin's team will try to do everything they can to let Wilder walk away with as less money as possible out of this fight, since he simply doesn't deserve it. He has showed absolutely immature reactions in the media time on time on time again, blackmailing Povetkin time on time again, acting like Povetkin was anything to blame and some people even believed Wilder at some point.

Do you see Wilder as much of a threat as Wlad? Maybe Povetkin was waiting for Wlad to get old. You cant compare an ATG HW to Wilder.

I actually wouldn't even be surprised if Povetkin wins the purse bid and still accepts to fight in America lol.

This fight will be way different than the Wlad fight. mainly because Wilder is a bum.

This is going to be like Apollo versus Ivan Drago 2. I still would bet that if the fight goes to Russia that Wilder will back out.

The comparison he made is just silly. Not even an analogous situation at all.

Probably. If not the pampered big baby Deontay Wilder will be doing a lot of whining & crying about fighting in Russia.
The fight will be more like the final one in the movie
The Harder They Fall. Wilder is a lot like the heavyweight in that movie.

Most of the chances it will happen in USA.
The fight in Russia will make much less money, and unlike the Klitchko-Povetkin Kremlin (RosNeft actually) will not give Ryabinski 15M$...after the disaster they received last time (unlike this forum, russian fans consider Povetkin's defeat to Klitchko as disgraceful). Add to that the collaps of Russian economy lately.

I wouldn't be so sure about that actually, there are a lot of very very, very very rich Russians out there.
When you look at any Povetkin entrance in a Russia you'll notice it's far more impressive as any Wilder entrance ever.
The Russians do spent money when it comes to boxing.

Which once again proves how honoust and fair the Russians are, many people say Klitschko should have been disqualified, but the refs made is a massive decision in Klitschko his advantage.

As a man who comes to Russia once a month, and doing business in Russia&Eastern Europe for 20 years - it's not true.
After rouble's collapse and second year of economical depression - much much less rich russians. Russian TV networks can't pay big money, ppv never worked in Russia. And the Kremlin will not pay money once again after Povetkin's humiliation against Klitchko last time.
