32 0, beating solid opponents, is in his
prime, yet no one seems interested in
him, including myself.

what's going on here?

Danny needs to change that by stepping it up.

Some good wins (Khan, Matthyse spring to mind) but been very unconvincing in a lot of his fights. Poor and lucky to get nod against Theophane, unimpressive against Herrera and Petersen. Nothing special against a shot Guerro who had been schooled against Thurman. Just feel he has a lack of sparkle in his work.

I hope he fights Brook next after Bizier fight. Will be good match for both of them.

Danny's career is on the downside already. The Herrera fight changed him and ever since then he has not been the same guy. He is just now carefully selecting opponents and basically pulling a Keith Thurman. He is pretending to be the guy but does not want the top guys at 147. The title fight for the WBC title against Guerrero was awful. He should fight Peterson at 147. I would like to see that.

The guys defeated Lamont Peterson, Robert Guerrero and a Matthysse who was considered one of the most feared boxers at that time all within the last 2.5 years but yeah, he needs to really step it up to get your treasured approval, ha Tanzio? Who the hell are you? What an absolute idiot you turned out to be. Hey Danny, if you're reading this, Tanzio really thinks that you need to be stepping it up. Ok? Try to get some sleep with that on your mind now.

Guerrero is past it---the guy had to go to war to beat mediocre Kamegai, he was then beat down by Thurman and hardly won a round, and after that he was rendered momentarily limp in a razor tight win over Aron fricking Martinez.

Danny has a good resume but the Guerrero win shouldn't add much value to it.

Pretty much this.

The Peterson fight was really close and at a catch weight. He lost the Herrera fight and got a gift and got booed out of Puerto Rico despite the fact that he is Puerto Rican. The Guerrero fight? Who cares Guererro is a gate keeper and a journey man. Danny's career is sideways right now.

. . . Says the fool who condemns a boxer for life for getting injured in training.

Facts are facts, Tough Guy. As much as I like Danny, he needs to step it up if he wants to be The Man. I'm sure that he intends to.

Agree here. Clearly, Guerrero WAS an excellent fighter, but he is pretty well passed his best at this point.

Garcia really seemed poised for stardom after the Matthysse win, but I think it's fair to say that his career has stalled. Personally, I think he felt he was in line for a major payday and he made the career decision to bide his time and not step up again until he saw the right money on the table. In retrospect, it seems clear that the big money fight never materialized...kind of a weird situation. Maybe he priced himself out of a couple of possible match ups? Not in a ducking way, but more just trying to get as much money as he could. I tend to think that fighters WANT to fight.
