Newarks Chad 2 slick Sugden is set to make his pro debut in march in Birmingham, as a super middleweight, and i am personally looking forward to his pro career.
It kind of went under the radar a bit mind, i had no idea the elite level K1 fighter had any intention of turning to boxing. Im actually a bit dissapointed i didnt hear of the intention to box as id have certainly attempted to sign him.
Not sure how well known he is to most, but locally theres a lot of hype around him. The Sugden brothers all seem to be very talented fighters in their respective games, and im led to believe their dad was too, who is also their coach and manager.
Hes been sparring lately with some top pros who were a bit surprised by his level of boxing.
Ive always in the past thought K1/kickboxing/MMA fighters etc dont usually transistion too well as they keep their hands low etc, but Chad is different. Watch this space as im certain hes going to make a few waves

He's excellent, obviously coming from kickboxing circles I grew up watching Chad and Regis, Chad beating Scott Allan a few times as juniors and Regis beating one of my friends who was a world champion in his own right. Chad is a monster and clearly can adapt very well, his dad is very clued up as a trainer and has fought at the highest level, he fought Ronnie clarkys trainer lex Easdon twice and lost twice but there's no shame in that as lex was 7x world champion and was untouchable as a fighter. Great to see him cross over and I'm sure I seen somewhere that he's possibly linked in with match room? He has a good following also which will help, will be following him closely and one thing I know for sure is he'll take the hard fights right off the bat, same as most the kickboxing community they have the minerals to fight anyone, anywhere.

Speaking of people turning pro, ive just seen that Micky Helliet has signed David Haye's Brother James Haye...
Any good ?
Cant help thinking if he was even remotely decent he would have signed under Hayemaker promotions ....

James is considered / was considered to be extremely talented.... But discipline and outside interests have been the issue
