Kimura upset Pedro Guevara last year and won the WBC world title by SD at light flyweight category. Many people tought that this was an unfair decision but we all know that in a close fight the hometown fighter get's the edge. Now Kimura is gonna defend his title against a former victim of Guevara i.e Ganigan Lopez of Mexico. How do you see Kimura handle this fight ?

Yeah, I think so. Lopez gave a tough fight to Guevara. Anything can happen in these type of fights.

Definitely live underdogs, but I think Kimura is a safe UD bet. Guy will likely get the victory even if he's behind by a few. I just have a feeling Yamanaka will stop Solis somehow. Still, good fights.

Kimura, though is not someone who looks impressive, he works enough to win a fight on the scorecards in his home country, Japan. Anyway Lopez is a dangerous-experienced southpaw who can give real troubles.

They all mentioned they wanted unification at the new year...whilst another Japanese youngster, Kosei Tanaka, has said he wants a title fight at 108 to set another speed record.

Its now known that Taguchi will fight April 27th and Yaegashi will be a similar time (there's a week of Japanese Holidays around that time of year). Taguchi has been linked to a mandatory vs Petalcorin but nothing seems to be set in stone...yet.

Could be a good year for the division ....
