Won't be Quigg after that stinker on PPV. Might be Rigondeux but Frampton might not want to go from 1 snoozefest to another.

Before the fight I could only see a rematch happening if Quigg won - but I can honestly see it happening. Eddie will protest Quigg should have won. Both guys said they would like the rematch - Frampton did say if the demand for the fight is there, it would happen.

But I can see it being Santa Cruz

Eddie won't say Quigg won. He'd get laughed at. He's been tweeting about Quiggs broken jaw. The fights came under criticism for how crap it was so the broken jaw is a decent excuse.

It was 5 years of build up for Quigg Frampton and they finally fought on PPV with both having world title belts. It was a stink out. If they fight again they have to take massive pay cuts because nobody wants to see that crap again. Hearn will do what he always does and get Quigg a mandatory at who he thinks is the weakest champion.

I'd like Rigo, but most likely Santa Cruz

I actually think that a rematch would be a very good fight, it would be a hugely different scenario second time around. Quigg knows that he screwed up massively in that fight, letting Frampton pick up so many of those early rounds without having to throw a single big shot. With all the build up, all of the issues outside of the ring before the fight, the trainers having a bust up.....it all become too much for both fighters. They were so focused on not losing, that neither of them made a big push to win. Again, second time around, it would be a lot different. Quigg would be far more aggressive, and Frampton would have to follow suit.

I don't want to see the rematch happen straight away, and doubt that it would happen at all if Frampton now moves up, but if it did happen in the next couple of years, I think it would be an exciting fight.

I think a rematch would actually be good.

I think Quigg realised he fucked up by doing nothing for 6 rounds and that he won the rounds where he was actually on the offensive and, in the 11th had Frampton hurt and in trouble.

If there was a rematch, I'd expect Quigg to go for him from the beginning.

I agree with this. Would pick Frampton by KO in the rematch with Quigg walking onto one

I'd like to see a rematch.

frampton beats quigg again in rematch, probably in much badder fashion, and frampton will avoid rigo like the plague and therefore LSC most likely bet

Rigo v Dickens is March 12 in Liverpool. I think that Frampton should take the Rigo test and Quigg should fight Donaire on the same card in July or August. The results would setup a good scenario for fights at the end of 2016 or beginning of next year. If Quigg and Frampton both win or lose the rematch would be a natural. If Frampton wins and Quigg loses, Frampton could fight Donaire. If Frampton loses and Quigg wins it would setup Quigg v Rigo and Donaire v Frampton.

Of course, the severity of Quigg's injury is a factor for timing.

LSC has plenty of other formidable options if they can be made. If Rigo defeated Frampton, an LSC fight would make sense. LSC can wait for the winner of the Frampton v Quigg rematch if Frampton defeats Rigo and Quigg got by Donaire.

A man can dream, right? :OhYes:

I'd be surprised if it was any of those.

If he goes up to featherweight a title fight with Selby would sell well in the UK ever after the not so fan friendly fight with Quigg and it would probably be his best chance right now to win a World title at that weight but then again he could go to the States for his next fight and
square off with Santa Cruze [that's if he goes up] and even if he comes up short I suspect it will be a fight that we won't forget in a hurry because Leo will make Frampton fight and that's what makes good fighters turn into great fighter's some-one that brings the absolute best in
some-one...............And there will be big fight's still for Frampton :TU:

Whats the general opinion regarding Framptons longevity at the weight? What do you all think he has left there? Quigg also as he looked shocking on the scales.

I know they can be deceiving but the compubox stats for the fight are ridiculous, quigg apparently only threw 5 punches in the first round. (I havent watched it back again to confirm)

In the rounds Frampton lost he still launched more leather than Quigg although with less accuracy. Watching the fight I thought Carl was possibly struggling at the weight and looking uncomfortable when forced to fight but his punch output stats suggested otherwise.

I can see him moving up but think he needs a fight to look good in again at the weight before throwing himself in with the biggest names of the division.
