Frampton v Quigg rematch

I personally would love the rematch to happen, I think it will be a completely different fight. There are so many talking points from the fight; what if Quigg started faster? What if Frampton became more aggressive?
I know the fight was a bore fest in the first 6 rounds, but the last half was very entertaining and you could feel someone could go at an time. Quigg stuck to a game plan that Joe told him to do - it only changed because Eddie went over in the corner and told him that Sky have got Quigg down on the cards.
Off course the rematch comes at a price - it will be on PPV and I as a boxing fan would definitely take the risk and buy the PPV again and see the rematch. I think the undercard would have to be a bit stronger (Selby, DeGale, Crolla etc..)
I'll put it out there, I'd rather see Frampton v Quigg 2 then Frampton v Rigo.

Quigg was far too cautious in the first half, I think he would've won had he fought like he did for the last half of the fight.

Hell no !
Quigg doesn't deserve it.
Rigo will beat Frampton , maybe by KO, then he will outpoint Quigg.
It's about time these fights get made and the true champion gets his dues.

I wouldnt pay to watch it again- it was dull as hell bar a few rounds near the end.

I thoroughly enjoyed the second half of the fight but the first half was so boring I nearly fell asleep.
Maybe in a year or two after they have both moved to feather they can entertain the idea of a rematch, but only if they both get a couple good wins in the mean time.

I'd watch it on a stream.
I think the 2nd fight would be much better. Quigg seems to realise he fucked up by not doing anything for the first 6 rounds and gifted the fight to Frampton. I think next time he'll start out aggressive and take the fight to Frampton.

I wouldn't buy this fight but I do hope that they fight again. The lights were a little too bright for Quigg early on. I think he deserves another crack though with the way he finished off the fight showing some pride. I can't imagine how intimidating that scene must be for a young boxer. I'd probably melt as well but Quigg fought himself out of it and made it close. Heck, do it again. Sure

I do think the second fight would be awesome, as the situation is so much different now. Quigg has far less to lose and would be a lot more aggressive, giving us the fight that we wanted first time around. However, I probably wouldn't pay for it. The best fight of the night was probably Burton Vs Shinkwin, and that was the first of the live broadcast. It all went downhill from there. Given the general disappointment in the first fight, I would be very disappointed if they made the second one PPV.

the fight was

too be honest. although i'm starting to think quigg deserves a rematch solely on the fact he fought on with a broken jaw. i think whatever the weather frampton takes it though. not sure if i'd buy it again

The question is not put in a correct way. Id watch any fight with these two. But I think immediate rematch is unnecessary and a bad option. So I vote no.

Quigg fought better with a broken jaw, so I'm not sure how that makes him deserving of rematch.
A gutsy display sure, rematch not so sure.

yeah, maybe your right, i'm still pretty disapointed with his overall performance i was expecting him to push the fight alot more and to see alot more ferocity from him, but i just think the busted jaw held all that alot more at bay, even though as you say, he did push the fight more with a broken jaw i still think that made him really wary and made the fight less competitive.
i think this was evident when he was throwing shots way out of range and not commiting to the punches, with feet and hips etc, just throwing wild unthoughtful shots with no hope.

Makes financial sense for both camps to take the rematch but I think it would be a better fight at featherweight. Frampton doesn't look as powerful as he once did and seems to fade late. Quigg is also big at the weight and could benefit from a move up. I think Frampton will try and get the LSC fight next then maybe Quigg next summer if they both keep winning.

It's more likely than the Quigg rematch.

If they have a rematch you can bet it will be a more fan friendly fight the 2nd time around surely

I don't think it's a good idea in the near future. They can do it down the line if it makes sense but it doesn't have to happen. Both of them have other options.

He'll fight Dickinson when Jazza bears Rigo.

Unnecessary. If Quigg had've opened up in the early part of the fights, then he would gotten more than the broken jaw that he did sustain. Frampton is a better boxer, Quigg wouldn't be able to outbox him, and if Quigg makes it a brawl, he would get systematically outboxed and hurt.

Mostly all has been said about the fight.
Way I saw it was a standoff for a few rounds with Frampton willing to kick it off.
Quigg played smart by tapering his aggression and saving his best stuff, but he laid off too long.
A rematch ... Depends on what's at stake but it will take a lot to do it in the short term.
