Any recommendations for a biography?

I read Hatton's a year or so ago and can't remember much of it so I guess it wasn't up to much. But anyone got a recommendation for any good ones?

Donald mcraes on Emile Griffith the best book I've ever read.
Couldn't recommend it highly enough.

"Somebody up there likes me" is my favorite sporting book of them all.

I also thoroughly enjoyed "Raging Bull".

Schmeling's book by von der Lippe is quite good.

I also really enjoyed two books on Jim Jeffries, "Ultimate Tough Guy" and the rare (but very good) "Two Fisted Jeff".

It's not a biography as such. But it is a boxing book and the best boxing book I have ever read >>>

All of the above are terrific reads.

Aswell as the above which are all good, one I tremendously enjoyed was The Killings of Stanley Ketchel. Proper boyo he was.

Hands of Stone is great too.

The worst of the lot in my opinion was the Tommy Hearns book.

I believe there's a book about Cus d'Amato who just went out recently; should be good reading (although i havn't)

Unforgivable Blackness is excellent. It's about Jack Johnson, his rise to fame, and how he was ultimately railroaded by the government.

Best boxing book that I've read.

I also like Sugar Ray Leonard's 'Big Fight' autobiography: He was remarkably candid & honest in a way I didn't expect from egomeister Leonard.
