Ward vs Barrera

Personally, I started having doubts about Barrera having a size advantage over Ward. Ward has always been a big SMW. It seems like Barrera is a small light heavy. Look at these pictures:
or this video:

Barrera doesn't look much taller than Golovkin and doesn't have a big frame. I don't think that Barrera will be able to outpower Ward inside, so he just has a puncher's chance which is not high if Ward we know will show up.

It will be a good fight, Barrera will be able to stand up to whatever AW throws and he will bring the pressure to try and wear the naturally smaller man down.
The only real chance Barrera has is to land a big enough shot to KO Ward but he isn't going to be able to outbox AW. From those pics Barrera looks slightly bigger than GGG and when AW and GGG stood next to one another it was clear AW was bigger or taller; he just looked to be the bigger man to me.

From the pics I've seen Barrera looks more like 6'0" than 6'2".

You seem to be contradicting yourself. First you call Ward "the naturally smaller man", but then you are talking about Barrera being only slightly bigger than GGG.
Barrera fought at MW in amateurs and looked smaller (even though a bit taller) than Murat. I think Barrera is "the naturally smaller man" here.

Considering Ward fought at LHW in the amateurs there is no doubt Ward is the naturally bigger man. This will be an easier fight for Ward then most people think, Ward will stop him by around the 8th unless he fights safety first all night then it'll be a wide UD.

Nah, Ward isn't stopping anybody. The only opponent he really stopped in many years was dehydrated Dawson. Smith wasn't hurt, there was just no point to continue for him.
Barrera is not a pressure fighter. He likes to counter-punch, so the fight may become a chess game. I expect Ward to win comfortably, but he is the only one who can get stopped here.
P.S. By the way, Barrera defeated Dawson in amateurs.

Easy fight for Ward, he'll win every round.
He should enjoy it whilst he can, Krusher is coming.

I would never assume that Ward would be outsized greatly by any Light Heavy, he was always a big Super Middle and as pointed out by others, he was a world class amateur at Light Heavy.
Also, although he clearly isn't a huge KO puncher, I think he probably hits a bit harder than people give him credit for, he doesn't have many stoppage wins at the top level but then he was fighting the likes of Froch, Kessler, Abraham and Bika who all have enough granite between them to lay a highway.

I have mixed feelings in this fight, I want the underdog to win, but I also want to see a super fight between Ward and Kovalev later in the year.
I think because of Wards inactivity it makes this fight much harder to predict. Based on Wards past he should beat Barrera but he has been really inactive like I think it is three years now? with one scrub fight.

I think Ward will win unconvincingly and a lot of folk will change their tune on Ward/Kovalev.

i won't, i'll still be saying kovalev will beat ward. i'm not one of those fickle fans.

I mean the Ward backers will realise he is beatable and you don't want to be 'beatable' in there with Kova.

Abraham said, Ward hurt him more than Froch. He may not have the same power, but he knows when to punch. The one's you don't see hurt the most...

Despite often landing flush shots Ward didn't seem to hurt Rodriguez, Smith, Miranda, Green, or Sugar Poo Buchanan either, and I wouldn't say they have granite chins.
He's obviously not a Paulie pillow-fists type, but I think the evidence suggests that he's not much of a puncher.

I'm not suggesting he is a 'puncher' necessarily. just that, like Mayweather, he hits hard enough to get his opponents attention.
Whether that remains to be the case at against the top lightheavies remains to be seen.
