Thought it was a very tough replacement opponent for Douglas...I would've wanted more time to prepare for Khurt if I were him.

In the past I've thought he looked more like 5'7", but going by the head to head pictures with Douglas I can see 5'4".

That was a barbaric stuff. I expected Douglas to stick and move like NDam did. But instead he got drawn into a brawl. I guess he was not ready for the intensity coming from the Georgian.

He is. There was a decent heavy weight with a minor world title belt fighting in the UK named Kandelaki. He retired prematurely. Currently there is a decent, younger guy, called Ghamichava who is trained under Virgil Hunter and has fight in two week against Russian prospect Lipinets.

Round 7 I think it was was the best action of the fight. Khurtsidze was all over Douglas early, but Douglas answered back with some very hard shots down the stretch.

This fight was great.

Douglas is the more skilled fighter, but Khurtsidze wanted it more. I found myself rooting for Khurtsidze before the end of the 1st. i knew supporting Douglas would be frustrating because he clearly showed early that he wasn't going to dictate the fight as he should.

I'm interested in seeing how Khurtsidze develops. Right now, he gets picked apart by a Peter Quillin or any top middleweight willing to settle for a UD. However, if he can improve like Maidana did at the end of his career (GET A FVCKING JAB), he could be an interesting fight for anyone at 160 except GGG.
