What are peoples thoughts on them? Can they be compared to Smiths and McDonnells yet?

Not just yet and though Gamal was known as a massive hitter as an amateur, Kal is punching very hard as a pro. The body punch he landed last night was exceptional.

Kal looks very decent, him vs Kono will be a good fight if it happens.
Not so convinced by Gamal thus far, looks strong but seems a bit limited, early days for him though.

I genuinely thought the bodyshot Kal hit Flores with last night was up there with the best ive seen

Both are good prospects with Kal being the better of the two. I think Kal will pick up a version of a world title but not sure if he's good enough to deal with the top guys like Tete and Inoue just yet. If he picks up a belt I'd like to see him and Butler get it on. That would be a good little domestic battle. Jury's still out on Gamal for me but he has definite potential. Early days.

Gamal's insistence on getting involved in a tear up will prove top be his downfall unless he wises up,its good that he doesnt mind getting his hands dirty but scrapping should only be applied when absolutely necessary,he was impressive last night and won every round but Jenkinson landed his fair share of shots too

Agree. He looks the type that can be drawn in and wore down. Good win last night and no discredit to Jenkinson but for all his guts he's very limited and as you say he showed Gamal can be gotten to. Early days though and a good fight for him at this stage in his career.

Better to learn now than when he's in the deep end,quite a rare thing though for fighters with that attitude to change things up BEFORE their exposed,actually its quite rare for fighters to change at all,some change for 1 fight and everyone gets excited then before we know their back to their old self,ah la Mitchell/Prescott

good points, fighters of a higher calibre than jenkinson will be able to grind him down and possibly get a win out if but i agree early days and theres some good signs

Yeah true. I was actually at that fight in Newcastle and thought Mitchell was going to really kick on after that but he then reverts to type and flatters to deceive..

Pair of arrogant disrespectful pudenda, especially Gamal. Neither will be genuine world class but can possibly pick up a paper title.

It's funny, it seems a lot longer than 3 1/2 years ago that Khalid made his debut

Both look decent so far. Fantastic finish from Khalid last night but it was against a limited 21 year old who had only fought outside of Nicaragua once - and that was just north in Mexico. Fighting in another continent with a 7 hour time difference is a lot different from the comforts of home.

I'd love to see them both progress though so hopefully they'll be out again soon enough.

Didn't the commentators mention another brother who's doing well in the amateurs, last night?

Kal looks good, haven't watched his brother yet.

No idea why Boxrec have him ranked #8 in the world though. He has yet to face even a top 50 fighter. It's time he stopped feasting on a parade of journeymen and step up to someone in the top 20.

The other Brother was in that British Lionhearts team against Mexico the other week.
