Haye vs Browne

This would be a good fight. A direct route back to the title for Haye and a high profile fight for Browne. Their styles would match up well, I think.
I am not sure thats what Haye wants. Yes he can beat Browne but I doubt he would want to tussle with elephants like Fury and Ortiz. He will specifically target AJ.big lennox wrote:This would be a good fight. A direct route back to the title for Haye and a high profile fight for Browne. Their styles would match up well, I think.
That pretty much sums it up for me. Might not be couple of rounds but sooner rather later Haye will connect an end it.Pulmo Bailly wrote:In the past Haye has been a bit defensive when faced with much bigger opponents (Valuev, Wlad, even the first two against Harrison) so we could see similar against Browne?
But Haye is now older, slower, also bigger himself and may not fancy (or be capable) of a twelve round defensive strategy. That and the fact that Browne is very slow, predictable and easy to hit will probably see a more aggressive, explosive Haye.
No disrespect to Browne but Haye probably does him in a couple of rounds.
Indeed, he's just after money, that's all.Tarkus wrote:I am not sure thats what Haye wants. Yes he can beat Browne but I doubt he would want to tussle with elephants like Fury and Ortiz. I think it would be more interesting out of the ring.asdfjkl wrote:Briggs Haye would be a good fight, as well inside as outside the ring. Haye absolutely doesn't deserve a shot at any serious belt.
I think Briggs would be a good opponent for Browne. Briggs would see him as easier than Haye and its for a title, Browne would see him as a good name to take and Briggs mouth would attract attention to the fight. Haye is a very tough fight for both men...Syntax Error wrote:I think it would be more interesting out of the ring.asdfjkl wrote:Briggs Haye would be a good fight, as well inside as outside the ring. Briggs is old & past it now.
He still talks a good game, but his body gave up the ghost years ago.
Why on earth are people mentioning Briggs, he's ancient, in poor shape, suffers from terrible asthma, and hasn't had a decent victory in a decade.wesshaw1985 wrote:I think Briggs would be a good opponent for Browne. because Briggs still wants to fight and he still has somewhat of a name to take. Easy money for Browne imo...jamesmcdonnell wrote:Why on earth are people mentioning Briggs, he's ancient, in poor shape, suffers from terrible asthma, and hasn't had a decent victory in a decade.wesshaw1985 wrote:I think Briggs would be a good opponent for Browne. Enough already.
It would be a great chance for Haye to regain a world title belt but unfortunately Browne has to fight Fres Oquendo next.Riddick Blowe wrote:I hope this fight gets made, and I made a prediction that Haye would be fighting the Chagaev/Browne winner as it seems like his bag, some profile and decent reward vs low risk as well as a step up towards his big money fight vs Wilder or Joshua.

Browne's biography is definitely one that has "you never know until you try" written all over it!Stevieb8006 wrote:Haye would utterly brutalise him. As would joshua. And vs fury it would be another chisora 2.
Really nice guy tho. I think he knows his limitations.

Blimey. The right of that draw is the place to be.bfchunk wrote:Supposedly some of them are tied up in this..
I really dont get it surely the winner of Browne/Oquendo should fight the winner of Ortiz/Ustinov for the chance to fight the winner of Fury/KlitschkoBillyTKid wrote:Blimey. The right of that draw is the place to be.bfchunk wrote:Supposedly some of them are tied up in this..
Briggs probably managed to get a 'lets go champ' tweet in before Chagaevs arse even hut the canvas.wesshaw1985 wrote:I think Briggs would be a good opponent for Browne. Agree mate. Can't help but like the fella but the top guys would make easy work of him. He always has half a chance with his power though. Must have some bottle to go over there and not be intimidated! I'd have been heading for the hills as soon as I seen Chagaev turn up for the weigh in surrounded by football casuals with automatic weapons...... Taxi!!Stevieb8006 wrote:Haye would utterly brutalise him. As would joshua. And vs fury it would be another chisora 2.
