If your physically fit and pass all the required medicals and sparring well / passionate about your sport why wouldn't you box ? Yeah he is 40 + and a grown adult that wants to box. Don't see why there is an issue. James Toney boxed in the prize fighter on a bbbc show.

Not saying there's an issue I'm saying he's 47 and making a come back imo that's Mad and am Shocked that someone of his Calabore will carry on at such an old age and will end up getting beat by someone he would of Played with in his prime.
James Toney is a Heavy weight they can fight and reach there prime at a later Age..

Fair comment mate, not sure you can call Toney a natural Heavyweight but yes heavyweights do mature older although id say 45yrs even at heavyweight they have missed the boat / to old to peak.

I think I remember a medical reason that scuppered him for a while, a query about a brain scan I think.

He must miss it, Martin. I remember watching him box and he was pretty fluid and had a good jab and power; he was really young to have to pack in. Hope he's safe and enjoys the scrap.
How are you getting on? Do you still miss it all?
