I saw former PF winner Tom Dorans name mentioned on another thread and just realised that the PF he competed in was the last one and it was over a year ago now. Have Matchroom patched this concept altogether or does anyone know if there are any further shows in the pipeline?

They were a bit of a hit and a miss really but they provided some decent entertainment. I always liked a bet on them and done ok. Does anyone actually miss them or are folk happy to see the back of them?

Hearn has stated he has no intention at the moment to do another prize fighter. Reason being size of his stable and the amount of tv dates he has.

Fair enough I suppose. There was a spell where they staged too many of them in a short space of time and they lost their appeal. I wouldn't lose any sleep if there were no more but they provided some decent nights and also gave some fighters great opportunities that they might not have had a shot at.

I'd like to see it return, be it with Matchroom on the undercard some mediocre Saturday evening or even on allegedly, with them doing their own version.

I thought they were entertaining if you took them at face value. I'd like Sky to give Eddie another 2/3 dates per year for PrizeFighter shows, I think they are a good night out where you're pretty much guaranteed to be entertained. A poor Saturday fight night (last week, for example, wasn't one of the best) is not something that will attract anything more than hardcore audiences. PF shows had a similar crossover appeal as a big event like Froch v Groves 2, for example.

And the opportunity for some of the fighters that enter is unique - look at Terry Carruthers; guaranteed excitement in a PF show but a bang average record (with no disrespect intended to him whatsoever) over the 'normal' distance.

Heavyweights were the best though, bring back Audley for the hat-trick!!

1 international heavweight prizefighter a year would do for me. York hall with a domestic title headlining it.

I enjoyed most of the Prizefighter events as they were mostly entertaining, with the odd exception. It also gave fighters on the rise a chance to build their profile which isn't a bad thing.

As suggested above id be happy to see Prizefighter return to be on undercard of other bouts... better than some of the boring undercards seen at times

I didn't really like Prizefighter tbh, glad it's been canned.

There should be a flyweight prize fighter it's the only weight there hasn't been one at yet - and there's enough of us now to make a banging one the division is hot atm!

If they're going to do one more then that would be a good way to go out IMO.

I don't miss it all. The best ones were the first few, good quality boxers as ams can skoosh it without it being a spectacle. Area level and below produce the best stuff inthis for me, not future prospects

Just needs the right people in it.

2 per year max one up north one down south and get a title fight on there as well and a matchroom prospect.

It's given fighters the opportunity to get on TV.

Im surprised BN dont offer a similar format. Or do they?

I quite enjoy prizefighter, it's usually quite entertaining and it is a good way for lesser known fighters to get a little bit of exposure and make a few quid.
The international heavyweights were always popular but I'd like to have seen that more at different weights, UK vs Japan flyweights, UK vs Germany middleweights or UK vs USA welterweights.

I hope they bring it back. I loved it. Short & explosive. It realy baffles me that it isn't a big deal. Nothing worse then boring 12 rounders.

Maybe 30 years ago.... But I'm wondering about MCDonut's size.... Ultimately I think Adam Smith would use his evasive skills and concentration just to pop the jab and move slyly away from the counter.... For the prizefighter crown and 3 clear points decisions
