they used to have Pride Fighting Championships an mma based organization in Japan and I swear 60% of their fighters were guys that were on a

losing streak here in America, but when they signed with that organization making the move to Japan the public their welcomed them and treated

them like rockstars and you can see it in their performances too! It's like they were born again! Even guys like Bob Sapp who had nothing going for

him but his size and he would gas out pretty fast in his fights they still treated him EVERY FIGHT like they were about to get a treat watching him

fight anything could happen dont blink! Guys like Ken Shamrock, Mark Coleman, Don Frye, Gary Goodridge, Kevin Randleman,

etc...They were always treated with respect and you can tell it impacted their self confidence, to be still treated like rockstars. Adrien Broner

in Japan would be huge! Here in america? Adrien Broner who??? David Lemiux in Japan would have a terrifying reputation despite his loss to

Ali was not undefeated and he will be remembered long after FMJ is forgotten. FMJ played the game beautifully but, if he would have fought Pac 5 or 6 years ago his career would be far more memorable. Your post was all over the place bud. But you made a good point. From an American standpoint too many guys are afraid to lose. There is no doubt about it and that is part of what has ruined boxing in North America. So much importance has been put on the '0' in your record instead of who you have fought. Floyd made such big deal out of his 0 that I think it has affected boxers for decades to come. That is why you do not see guys fighting each other. Especially in North America. Guys should be more concerned with their resume and instead it is taking fights with the least amount of risk. Floyd exploited this in America and if you look at his resume and break it down it is just not that impressive at all.

I don't think American Fight fans are as obsessed with the 0 as people think either. The 3 biggest draws in North America right now are probably still Canelo, Cotto and Pacquiao...all of whom have losses.

Andre Ward is an unbeaten American and he couldn't draw flys to sh*t.

Also those great wins over Baldomir and gate keepers like Corley and he beat DLH in DLH's second to last fight. On that resume, he is the greatest ever!!

Floyd has one of the best resumes in the history of the welterweight division.

Did Hatton say he had any trouble making weight? If not, then it's not an issue.

He still has gatti, mosley (who was #1 Contender at the time), cotto, pac, maidana, castillo, prime judah and canelo.

Who do you have ahead of him in terms of resume?

Ricky Hatton isn't an ATG fighter, but he was a very good fighter, and was the physically stronger man in the Mayweather fight. Mayweather was just the better fighter. Weight isn't a determining factor when 2 guys are the same size. Look at the fight between Mayweather and Hatton does it look like Mayweather has some big size advantage to you in that fight...or any advantage at all? If it does you need your eyes checked.

To this day nobody has ever beaten Marquez as decisively as Floyd beat him. That's gotta be worth something.
