If Wilder puts on a clinic on Povetkin

than say "you're great"
i predict, that wilder will make very easy work out of povetkin, total destruction, povetkin might win 1 rd in the whole fight.
i see wilder koing povetkin or just simply winning rd after rd, no chance povetkin wins, somebody struggled with a cruiserweight, wilder would have smashed huck into pieces.
if i am wrong i ill make 50 ush ups in 2 seperate attemps, cause i am to fat to make 50 in a row. but if i am right, than they it.

I quite like Wilder. He's fun to watch and comes across as a decent enough guy. He's always in exciting fights (largely because he is a limited fighter so his fights against euro level fighters like Duhaupas are competitive still) so he's good for boxing overall.
But my god, his idiot fans make it so I want him to lose.

What makes you think that Wilder will beat Povetkin eaiser than he beat Molina, Duhaupas and Szpilka? I think this is pretty close to a 50:50 fight, thought I slightly favour Povetkin.

C'mon, if you're so sure up the ante a bit. 50 push ups in two seperate attempts is no forfeit.
How about if Wilder doesnt smash Povetkin to pieces you hire a 1960s batman costume, a hot air balloon and 36 midgets for an over elaborate prank yet to be determined.

I'm a Wilder fan, but I'd say this is near a pick'em fight with Povetkin a slight edge.
If Wilder wins I think it could be something like the Foreman-Lyle fight. Or Wilder losing rounds than stopping Povetkin with 1 shot.
A Wilder easy decision I DON'T see.

Wilder has to be the worst boxer in the heavyweight division, relies on his power. No footwork and if you youtube him getting taught by Lennox how to throw a jab properly. Come on. I think he'll come unstuck against a good boxer eventually but I believe that if he catches Povetkin clean, its all over. Not saying I'm a Wilder hater, because he's always in exciting fights just like Lucas Browne. I just get annoyed that his fans think he's on a level with Fury and Wlad..

If Wilder wins - then he will gain a lot of credibility as a valid World Champion. He will have defeated one of the best Heavyweights in the world and silenced his critics to an extent.
If Povetkin wins - then Wilder critics will say "I told you so" to the American boxing public members who were overhyping him and getting way too excited about him. He will have fallen at the first significant hurdle.

Have to admit I think it would be quality if Wilder goes over and demolishes Povetkin.

dude , thats too much privacy going out of the window.
lets put it this way, i will 100 % do 50 push ups, if wilder doesnt smash povetkin. i am a grown man, i will 100 % do it, if povetkin wins.

this is one of the fights that is exciting because
it could go either way. one thing though is very
unlikely: wilder taking povetkin out. alexander
can absorb substantial punishment.
i think wilder will edge a decision, but it could
be a very exciting fight.

I don't think Wilder can school Povetkin by boxing or setting traps, he may be able to bust him up fast by ambush attack but Povetkin is an experienced high level boxer. If Wilder did school him I would be both surprised and very impressed and would then make him favourite over Fury, Martin or Joshua.

It's acceptable to say that Fury and Wlad are more skilled than Wilder. It's a whole other ball of wax to say,
"Wilder has to be the worst boxer in the heavyweight division,..." If you meant of the title holders, that's one thing. If you meant the whole division your remark ranges from hyperbole to just plain stupid.
The clip of LL showing Wilder a jab was cool to watch but meaningless. You seem to want to make a big deal out of it; it's athletes talking shop.

Yes, having seen a few heavyweight bouts in 2016 I can safely say that Wilder is not the worst boxer in the division. I would state that Wilder's skill within the heavyweight title holders leaves a lot to be desired. Particularly Wilder's boxing ability in terms of footwork, head movement and defence. In all of his recent fights against European level opponents, he's been in wars where he has been tagged (which is no bad thing as a fan). I believe that when he does step up he'll come unstuck. Not saying that Povetkin will beat him because Povetkin has all sorts of disadvantages when it comes to stature but it'll be a big test for Wilder. Considering Wilder's most testing fights to date (Stiverne/Szpilka) they have been around the same height as Povetkin. Therefore, you could say that Wilder's perfect height for an opponent is around Povetkin's height. I like Wilder's fights just like I like watching Lucas Browne, even though the boxing skills are limited. The knockouts are always brutal.
And on the clip showing Lennox teaching Wilder a jab, I do think that video indicated the substantial gulf between the heavyweights of the 90s and that of recent years. But saying that, I remember seeing Lennox teaching Eubank to jab (who is an extremely astute boxer).

Fair enough. I agree that both Wilder and Browne have their limitations, especially Browne, but are both interesting fighters. I'd pick Wilder between the 2 of them. Deontay has some athletic skill and it should be noted he picked up the sport very late and that shows.
Lennox Lewis is of course on a much higher level than Wilder, even though Wilder may still improve some. Passing down knowledge is a good thing and you always learn from an expert like LL.
