Sergiy Derevyanchenko vs. Mike Guy and Sergey Lipinets vs. Levan Ghvamichava on USA FOX Sports 1 Tuesday March 15.

Ghvamichava (although unfamiliar to most people) is a good fighter and we could see an upset over Lipinets.

Holy Sasquatch.

Are they gonna step Dereverychenko up any time soon? Another squash match for him.

Tough to do, not like he brings the purse strings and guys are always hesitant to face fighters with skills that only have a few bouts. I don't know why a lot of these fighters are signing with American promoters, the sport is dead here.

Derevyanchenko is being lined up for an IBF eliminator after this, although he'd be better off going for the WBO or WBA "world" titles against the more beatable Saunders or Jacobs.

Guy is a former MMA fighter and isn't an easy opponent.

Michael Guy is a tough and strong dude. I doubt any 168 pounder on the Planet is stronger than him. We just sparred him last week. To bad he took this fight on a weeks notice

First fight is starting on Fox Sports.

Kevin Watts (10-0) vs. Michal Chudecki (11-1-1).

What other 168s have you sparred to make that assessment?

Derev is on. Lets see if he can prove me wrong. Have not been too impressed with him so far.

Can't believe this fight went 8 rounds. Dereverychenko far too passive against a guy on a weeks notice who apparently hadn't sparred in 5 damn months. Dereverychenko has a horrible habit of coming inside and not throwing. This will get him badly outboxed and manuevered by real fighters. It's also all 1-2's from him. Not much of a variance of attack. He might actually impress me less than Khytrov. I just don't think these guys are good enough to fight at the top level.

Nice finish by Derevyanchenko.

Commentators were far too critical of him, Mike Guy is very tough.

Ref gave Guy a long count on the second knockdown, should have been a KO not TKO.

I am staying not sold on Derev.

The main event must be interesting. I favor the Georgian to win.

Too passive. He could've done that many rounds early if he followed up more of those 1-2s with 3s 4s and 5s. He let guy stay in the fight. Guy is a club fighter on short notice. Dereverychenko is supposed to be scrutinized due to his supposed pedigree.

The power wins the day. Georgian went downs far too easy for a wolf.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. Derevyanchenko is a damn good fighter. Monroe Jr. is a very good fight for him to take at this stage of his career. Uh, he really shouldn't have signed with Gaymon. Gaymon has no idea how to bring up prospects.
