Anyone else putting 20 quid on Williams?

I'll admit he probably wont win the fight, but 7/1 is too good to be true. I think it's a 60:40 fight in Tyson's favour, but he ain't a dead cert. Anyone else backing Danny?

looking on betfair earlier. if you put 2 quid on a draw NOT happening (Lay) then you are set to win 348 quid! But if it does happen, you have to pay 348 in liabilities or something. It all confuses me. Anyone a boff on the ole' betfair?

You pay 348 pounds in liabilities? That can't be right.

i just cant get the image of Williams getting knocked about by SSS out of my mind. Tyson will maul him inside 3 rounds. The only question is what round do i pile my cash on.

I'm going to put a fiver on Danny Williams in the fourth and a fiver on Danny Williams to win.

Had another one of those vivid dreams, Danny KO'd Tyson in the fourth. Not sure which one is more realistic, this one or Hamed vs Barrera 2.

What have i told you about your dreams. Keep taking the medication mate.

7/1 is definitely a decent price considering the state Tyson is likely to be in, if i was a betting man i'd take it. Also, if i happened to be a betting man i'd use Blue Square.

i watched this program at about 2.30 in the morning about betfair and how other bookies hate it, cos it's a betting exchange, and so offers far better odds. But it confuses me a little. :-?

bet365 is pretty good, usually has the best value. I keep promoting it but you can get EVEN ODDS on Freitas-Corrales ending within 9.5 rounds, which i'm certain it will!

I know nothing about this Dorin fella. Is he worth a shot?

Willie Hills has Tyson at 1/14! and Danny at 13/2. the draw is 33s.

Since Ive already stated a couple of times now that I think Danny is capable of winning I think Illl venture a score!

Ladbrokes slightly better for a Tyson bet with 1/12, but has Danny at 6/1 much better for the draw at 40-1

Remember Rocky was 5/1 in his second fight against Creed

Bet365 now have Williams at 8-1.

Not worth backing Tyson

IF Williams wins, I reckon it will be cause Tyson runs out of steam.

I fancy Tyson to win big, but a small part of me sees Danny stopping Tyson on his feet in about 7.

No, you've totally misunderstood, Adam. Don't get involved until you know exactly what you're doing.

(From your figures) If the draw DOES NOT happen you would win just £2 (- commision), NOT £348. If the draw DOES happen, YOU would have to pay out £348.

If you want me to do a complete breakdown of how it works I will, but if you read betfair properly you should be able to suss it all out for yourself.

:o :o :o Are you sure? Who would bother with a bet like that - it can't be correct.

Yes I'm sure, but remember I'm only using Adam's numbers to make the example, he may have misinterpreted them slightly.

When you "Lay Odds" on a betting exchange you are essentially playing the role of the bookmaker. Therefore you lay some odds and if a punter takes them and he loses you win, but vice versa applies i.e. you lose and you pay up.

In the case of a boxing draw.

When a bookie sets the odds for a draw they will be typically 40/1 or so.

If you take those odds (betting a quid) and a draw occurs you win £40 and get your £1 back. The bookie has therefore lost £40.

If the draw does not occur the bookie wins just £1.

If Adam lays the draw on betfair, he is taking the same risk as the bookie, albeit with even longer odds.

Thanks all clear now. Well a draw is highly unlikely but for 2 quid it's not worth betting.

Like I've said before... I've got a really funny feeling and am going to be mad and put a few quid on Danny to win in the first two rounds. :o

Yeah yeah... I don't know what's possessed me either but I'm gonna do it! :TU:

Would love to see Danny win. He's a nice fella... very humble and a credit to boxing, the total antithesis of Tyson.

oh, thanks a lot for clearing it up. So it's rarely worth laying then. I suppose, it's best to lay, when there is a huge field, and you lay against the favourite, e.g. Tiger Woods.

10 quid on Danny

This may sound a bit strange , but about a year ago i had a dream that Tyson was Knocked out in the 3rd, by a british guy and the commentator was going mad shouting about some british guy.

Sounds far fetched, but i'm gonna have a tenner on it anyway

You may aswell throw your 20 pounds on the fire. Williams is not up to it, fighters who get beaten by Francis, Sprott and Sanil Sam are not going to beat even this faded version of Tyson.

How do you see Danny doing, knockout?
