How many laps did Billy do of the ring before Naz caught him? He made himself dizzy :KO:

Hardy was a good fighter and Hamed made him look like a bum.

In remember thinking Johnson would win and being quite relieved when naz crushed him. Didn't naz get into trouble pre fight calling him an 8 ball? Not one of his finest moments.

A sound win for naz though.

That was some uppercut from Hamed to finish off Johnson,i doubt theres many feathers who wouldve stood up to that, give Tom his due though he had Naz down in that 3rd after taking a shellacking

Hardy was obliterated albeit by some murderous puching from the Prince

Still get goosebumps watching Naz. As soon as he had someone going he was predatory. Was gutted the night he lost. The only consolation was he lost to another of my favourites in Barrera. I think he got too full of himself in the end and got his comeuppance. I reckon the Naz the beat Johnson, Vazquez, Badillo would've taken MAB.

A good performance from Naz, against a highly thought of opponent and long reigning champion.
Not as dominant as he could be but the level of opponent makes it every bit as good as any of his wins.

I only gave Johnson the sixth.

Not a lot you can say about the style or technical aspects of the fight. Naz was Naz. Everyone knows what he did and how he did it.

A real joy to watch in his best years and a real pity we never saw him carry on, at his best, for a few years longer.
With some of the great names who campaigned at feather and super feather in the early 2000s.
Barrera, Marquez and Morales at feather for a good while, Pacquiao passed through the division, Floyd, Corrales and Casamayor a weight class up. I'd even have loved to see Scott Harrison in with Naz. There were so many fantastic match ups that were never made and I'd have given Naz a shout in just about any of them if he had maintained his best form

One of his best performances.
Time hasn't helped Johnson. People seemed to forget how good he was and Naz just battered him.
Signs of Naz becoming a bit easier to hit though.

i used to think that, but in his five years at the top he was a productive champion and beat the rival title holders plus had that big fight with the popular and exciting Kelley.

Peaked pretty early did Naz. Only fight I feel is absent is Luisito Espinoza who was a good, strong featherweight and had some good fights (the revenge war with Alejandro Gonzalez) and good KOs (McKinney, Galaxy).

Tom Johnson was very good, and you can really see his quality in that hard rivalry with Manuel Medina.
