In Froch recent statements he clearly warns Joshua that as he's thinking things will not be as simple against Martin. Here is the story

It's a decent assessment by froch martin will fancy it he's a big unbeaten puncher who could make a big name for himself as well as a lot of money,plus froch is a sky sports member now so he's not going to say easy fight he's going to make it sound like a 50/50 fight to sell it.

Funnily enough, I reckon Smith, Moore, Watt, McCrory, Oliver and Nelson will have similar opinions, all week long on various shows leading up to April 9th. Just a hunch.

Froch knows better than most how dangerous an undefeated, hungry, young fighter with a big punch can be.
But I feel Joshua is the bigger dangermen in this fight and Martin is gonna be in big trouble, unless he shows us something he hasn't before.

there's little point anyone, least of all AJ, deluding themselves that this is a walkover. Yes he can dig. Is there a man out there who can take that dig? Yes. there always is.

It's the toughest fight of his career as I feel Martin is slightly better than Whyte.
It's definetly not a gimme but I weigh it 80/20 in Joshua's favour purely based on his potential and the fact Martin is unproven aswell.

Martin isn't very good and this will be blindingly obvious, very quickly, in their fight.

Eddie will have paid a fortune to get Martin here. He'll recoup it with several soft defences on PPV at The O2. It's blindingly obvious.

Yeah this, has anyone actually watched this guy fight? He stumbles all over the place, his technique is terrible and is just a plodder! if joshua doesn't blow Martin out inside 5 round I would be very surprised! I'm not saying joshua is the finished article but he is way above this level of opponent.

I disagree. I think Joshua should deal with him but I also think he's better than some think he is. Time will tell though. A big factor in this fight will also be what kind of chin has Martin got. He's gonna have to absorb some bombs even if he was to win so whether he can stand up to that should be interesting.

I have this a 50/50 fight.

I've only seen a few minutes of Martin on Youtube and it was enough to convince me that Joshua will hammer him. From what I've seen his technique is awful and he holds his chin in the air. Reckon Joshua KOs him early.

I know Danny said that he loved "Mr. Kipling cakes" and that that phrase seems to have passed from one interview to the next through the joy of cut-and-paste, judging by google. But (and this is vaguely important to me at least) did Danny ever specify which cakes he particularly favoured? The Mr. Kipling range is so wide (see http://www.mrkipling.co.uk/our-range#easter-treats and scroll down), he can't have liked it all - no man can like the Euro-weirdness of Battenberg, the chemical sweetness of a fondant fancy and the faux ruggedness of a country slice. If Danny has shown his hand and admitted the bakewell slice is a favourite, he is clearly a man of taste. But this is clearly an area where we need more hard facts.
