The highly touted Puerto Rican prospect Felix Verdejo is facing off against Franklin Mamani a Bolivian Veteran Journeyman with 21 Ws 2 Ls and 1 D. Franklin Mamani is best known for beating Demarcus Corley back in December 2013. (This was announced over a week ago, Boxrec hasn't updated its records yet unfortunately)

Jose Felix Jr of Top Rank, I'm sure you guys are familiar with him, was initially set to fight Verdejo on that date but pulled out due to "not having enough time to train." He's called out Verdejo in the past and I'm sure he'll be looking to face Verdejo June 16th on the under-card of Walters Lomachenko.

Verdejo is a very legit prospect but I can't say I'm too interested in watching him shut out another C-lister.

They need a walk over job for Verdejo after his disappointing performance against that Brazilian, they need someone sh1t to make him look good. If he still has bad hands why risk getting him another fight so soon.

I don't think Mamani is worse than that Brazilian dude, but he's not significantly better. He beat Chop Chop Corely a few years ago in Bolivia, and he's never been KO'd. My money is on another 100-90 shutout.
