Could be interesting as Murray comes on strong as Groves starts to gas.

Groves to win by a comfortable margin on the cards in a competitive fight. I'd be rooting for Murray though.

Neither of them have looked impressive recently, it's a pick 'em for me. I'd certainly look forward to it though.

Just a few short years ago people would have been fearful of Martin Murray's health in this fight, but nowadays the masses see it as almost 50/50.

You could argue that Murray has more experience of the pair, having fought Sergio Martinez to the wire in Argentina, Gennady Golovkin who is on fire and then having a good go at Arthur Abraham in Germany... not to mention his fight with Sturm on the road too.

Murray has gone up a division and enjoying the additional 8lbs to play with. Murray still looks up for a scrap and still has his appetite for it. Having big fights on home soil is all brand new to Murray, he's often done camps all over the place from Africa to Argentina - so that's another plus side for the St Helen's fighter.

Whereas Groves has declined massively since being cobra'd. I read that even his dad told him it was ok to retire and he should consider it.

He was meant to fight for the WBC international trinket against Di Luisa but couldn't make the weight. At just 27-years old he looks like a shot fighter. He's got shades of Bute now, going through the motions almost and whatever energy he had that made him and sharp and dangerous fighter, has all but ran out. He's aged almost overnight and looks one or two defeats away from it all being over.

Murray takes this.

Groves has looked wank since Froch KO'd him. Murray hasn't looked brilliant... but he did at least give a decent go against Abraham and he proved his chin vs GGG so Groves power won't trouble him.

He'll grind out a decision.

If Bellew v Cleverly was PPV surely Hearn won't let this pass for free.

Groves late stoppage IMO. I think he's less since the Froch losses but has enough power and timing to keep hitting Murray, who by the late rounds of this will have had enough. Also not convinced Murray should have moved up from MW; he's big but carries weight and could have made MW where at least he's got some power. At SMW he must carry really little dig.

Murray wins, Groves stamps his feet and storms off to his dressing room before the interviews. George says he was robbed and he should have got the decision, despite being knocked clean out. He also says he it was a fast count, despite the fact that the ref could have counted to a hundred. The judges were all from countries he didn't like, one of them was from Portugal, where Murray's sister's brother-in-law once had a bad case of gastroenteritis. That judge scored the fight for Murray and George didn't like it one little bit. After the fight he called out Carl Froch.

Love Martin to bits, no disrespect, but he's best example to kids that hard work beats talent when talent doesnt work hard. Just a shame that some fighters with a touch more talent have worked just as hard?

Can he beat Groves at 168 when, and i hate to say this, he's never beat a top level opponent at 160 let alone 168. Could say same about Groves I guess, although he's beaten De Gale, Smith, Glen Johnson. Plus cant ignore how well he did against Froch.

Groves boxes negatively and wins behind the jab on points. Another nail in the coffin for PPV who have shown highlight reel knockouts on loop from George in the month leading up to the fight.

Murray all day for me. I think its a great fight.

Good luck to both of them, I think it would be a shame for Groves to go out on a low so young, I think he needs a couple more fights in his new environment before being completely written off.

I'd have always picked Murray I've never been impressed by Groves

This. Murray just doesn't have enough offensively unfortunately. I think Groves boxes negatively to a points decision like Mickey said.

Mind you he looked in poor shape last time out. Not sure how much he really wants this anymore.

Definitely a bit of a "pick'em" but I'd edge towards Murray. Last few outings I've seen of Groves he looks a shadow of the man who put in admirable performances to Froch.

In years gone by, Groves. Now Murray. Murray has a good chin and I think he'll put it on Groves who will inevitably wilt.

A fight between to 'flat' fighters. Both will labour, both will fail to have much snap on their punches. Probably actually be a boring fight.

This is what I would expect as well, although sometimes fights can surprise us and turn out much better than expected, hopefully this would be one.
