Crawford on PPV

Arum and HBO are planning to have Crawford's next fight on PPV. Unless it is against Pacquiao, can he actually draw more than a 100k buys ? Who should his opponent be for better sales ?

I would buy Crawford/Postol on PPV if it was reasonably priced with a decent undercard. But I don't think I'm the average casual boxing fan. As you say that fight would probably get 100k buys or less.

Agree with you there Crawford-Postol is a seriously good fight and if they put Lomachenko-Walters as a co-main event that would be PPV worthy to me.

is crawford going up to welterweight ? danny vs crawford is ppv worthy

but as far as super lightweight goes, there is nothing ppv worthy, even with matthysse or postol.

craw-postol alone is no ppv

but true, with a co main event that is even better than the main event, like loma-walthers, that is a ppv card

Crawford/Garcia is doubtful as Haymon and Arum don't play nice.

I think we'll be lucky to see Matthysse fight again anytime in the near future. He turned down a May fight with Herrera because his eye is still messed up.

would crawford vs broner be big enough ? i'd love to see it and i think many would like to see broner beat up .

I don't see who he can challenge. Guy can also have some snoozers depending on who he fights. No one at 140 lbs. is PPV worthy. Maybe once Mikey Garcia comes back into the mix and starts winning again.

I think he needs a Mexican or at least a Puerto Rican in order to get above 100k.

Broner would never take that fight. Just the mere mention of it would have him running through Ohio and into Pennsylvania.

Crawford - Bradley may be able to do 300-350k with a halfway decent under card.

"Nobody" (casual fans) in UK has heard of Crawford yet. Shame he never got Brook, Khan or Pacquiao next. Even Garcia or, and i hate to suggest this, Ricky Burns at 140.

Is his stock big in US?

Crawford would need his opponent to draw the buys.

Ricky Burns stock in the US? Not at all. Crawford-Burns PPV would not draw anything.

Garcia could be a PPV yes. The other two you would have to have a strong co main event and even then it would be very iffy. I am leaning toward no one the last two. It would have to be a Mexican or Puerto Rican.

No need for a Burns rematch after the last fight.

At LWW the only fight with a chance of a USA PPV are Postol or Broner but both would need a big fight on the undercard.

Casual fans have no idea who Postol is. That is absolutely not a PPV fight.

I'll be damned I agree with you.
And I would love to see Crawford vs Garcia.
Postol couldn't draw 1000 buys let's alone 100000.

Would of loved for Pacquiao to haven taken Crawford instead of Bradley

I think we all would have been but instead the trilogy that no one wanted got made and that is boxing. Who would pay for that PPV is what I would like to know. That fight sucks.

The undercard is excellent though. I may go since tickets will likely be relatively inexpensive on fight night.

Crawford needs an opponent with a known name and a good undercard to sell on PPV.

I read somewhere Crawford beat Garcia a couple of times in the amateurs. Maybe DG isn't so anxious for that bout? Anyway, they are in different weight divisions for now, and DG vs Brook is a possibility, and would be a good fight. Brook recently said he wants it as a unification fight.

I'd pay plenty to see Crawford do away with Garcia, that's a guaranteed ass beating worth every penny.
