Running Up Steps

Got these at the back of my house
76 of the buggers.
Ran, then walked, then staggered (I'm very fat and unfit at the moment) 5 x Mon, 6 x Weds, doing 7 x tomorrow. Next week I intend (hope) to do 8 x Mon, 9 x Weds, 10 x Fri.
Once I'm at 10 x I hope to build up my speed, when I can (if I ever can) do 10 x without stopping at decent speed, I may add a weighted rucksack.
Any good, any advice/tips?
Thanks
Offal

I can only use what's available to me (I'm in N. Wales NOT Whitby) and I think 10 x 76 = 760 is pretty decent myself.

For me that looks a little too gloomy and narrow... If people are coming down you have to dodge them... However if there's no foot traffic when you run, it could work... How deep are the steps??? I've seen them as short as 4" and as deep as 13 inches...
A great place to run steps is inside a big stadium really early in the morning when they probably won't chase you.. You like to try for at least 100 steps -- or in your case 76... Run up about as fast as you can and run down again... When you catch your breath do it again...maybe 4 or 5 times.. time your breaks when your wind starts improving and do them every 3rd day.. On the other days do flat running for distance and time and figure out interesting routines to make them more interesting.
