Anthony Dirrell -vs- Caleb Truax

April 29th at Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, Anthony Dirrell (28-1-1) faces Caleb Truax (26-2-2)
This is a pretty good looking card on paper (
http://boxrec.com/show/730091), but as a Minnesota fan I'm mainly interested in the Dirrell/Truax fight. Dirrell is a highly ranked super middleweight with some good wins on his record. Truax is moving up from middleweight.
How do you see it?

Hate to disappoint a Minnesota fan, but Truax has nothing to do at top level. Dirrell wins comfortably.

Thanks for posting this, Mr Mystic
I like this bill. Excellent for a Friday night in AC. I noticed that Andre is also on the bill against the Aussie Blake Caparello.
I'm hoping both Dirrell brothers lose (nothing personal) but I'd have them both favourite to win.
Jonathan Guzman looks interesting too.

Truax is more or less there to lose.

Yes, i feel he's a bit underrated, while Dirrell is alot overrated. I mean, we're talking about Anthony, not Andre, right? How many people said, he would win against Jack? And did he?

Truax couldn't even beat Ossie Duran, he's gonna move up to 168 and beat Dirrell? I don't think so.

Anthony Dirrell is no World beater that's for sure, but Truax is a fringe contender at best. He doesn't have the goods to beat Dirrell. I don't think Anthony Dirrell or either Dirrell is particularly overrated to be honest. I think people see them for what they are. Decent fighters, lacking what it takes to be THE GUY in their divisions.
Still. Dirrell will beat Truax, and he'll do it comfortably.

Exactly. Rubio is much better than Truax.

I guess we'll see about it.

I'd pretty much guarantee it. Unless Truax lands a Hail Mary KO shot and wins that way, he's not gonna win.

Both Dirrells will win comfortably.
The Anthony Dirrell/Badou Jack is a rematch I'm surprised didn't happen already.
Really open division still at super middleweight.
Wouldn't be surprised to see a Dirrell in with Ramirez if he wins.

Haymon guy against an Arum guy ? Only if Dirrell is mandatory. Besides, I think Abraham will stop Ramirez.

Abraham-Ramirez is a great fight. If Abraham wins he's got opportunitys stateside and the Sturm unification is a big money spinner in Germany.

Abraham can fight Sturm even if he loses to Ramirez. Everybody knows that Sturm lost to Chudinov twice.

Yes, Truax had a bad night vs Duran but he beat the tar out of Don George. He is also Jacobs only foe who took him 12rds. Quillin almost made it 1. Dirrell really doesn't have many good wins on his resume. He has 2 good wins and rubio was well out of his prime. Leaving bika as his 1 solid win. Rubio would be the 2nd. I think it will be a close fight. My main concern would be how Truax takes a punch at 168, not at all that it will be easy for Dirrell. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Caleb win by dec.
