Wouldn't it just be great if Briggs knocked Haye out "lets go champ!"

Is this fight happening? Can anyone explain to me how the man who got knocked about by Frans Botha and Jameel McCline 15 years ago is still in contention?

Because he made a comeback in 2014 and he's won eight fights in a row.

He actually drew with Botha.

So he's ready!

Tough fight Haye could go 2 rounds in this one.

Twas a gift decision. I remember him reeling around the ring in the 10th, exhausted, blood streaming from his ear. Amazing he's managed to keep himself in the picture. Not an encouraging sign for boxing however.

He's not. The only reason anyone even talks about him is his very clever use of social media. The most notable thing he has done in boxing in eight years is fail a drugs test

Would any of those eight wins merit a shot at a British / Commonwealth level title if the qualified? Even area level? He went ten rounds with Zumbano Love FFS

The Foreman win was a gift as well. The Vitali fight showed he has serious baws but nowt else to offer other than possibly hurting himself.

He came up with the phrase 'lets go champ', is that not notable? :bag:

But that could be said for a multitude of today's Heavyweights.
The truth Is that the best guys won't fight each other and it's been like this for years, since the Klitchskos started dominating.
And isn't that thread problem for the entire weight division and not just Shannon Briggs.

It would be an either way fight imo. Dont think it would last more than 3 rounds with either on their back in a decent match up. I would love it, i would love it if Briggs knocked out Haye.

Its a fight i would love to go see live but i would be too apprehensive to buy any fight ticket that had David Haye involved.

I would love it.

Even Briggs admits he lost that fight. Sure I read an interview or something where he basically admits Botha beat the shit out of him.

Yes, Botha biffed him around for the most part. I remember Briggs had Manny Steward in the corner who was utterly exasperated with him. Big puncher but gasses so quickly.

Twelve actually, great fight too, after a lively two rounds Zumbano gets on his bike and Briggs manages two - six punches a round for the remaining ten.

Im enjoying having him over here tho. Hes entertaining. Wouldnt mind him bowling over a few soft options on an undercard. Maybe fighting a dallas or cornish for a bauble

Briggs was never that good anyway in world terms..... With his PEDs he looks impressive but he's 44....

If he wasn't so loud and inventive on social media he would be ignored. Hes done a great PR job. But He needs to retire for health reasons. If he ever gets a fight against a decent opponent he will get battered. And will be drooling and talking to lampposts in 6 months.

Vitali battered him so badly I thought there might be a fatality....
