Ibrahim Balla stopped a badly overmatched Emanuel Micallef in the 1st round last night to win the vacant Australian featherweight title.

Balla won the vacant Australian super bantamweight title in his last fight and the win moves him to 9-0.

Shocking mismatch that.

I think part of the reason for that is people keep getting bigger and heavier all the time.

We used to be very competitive in the bantamweight and lightweight divisions years ago. But I think small guys, and there aren't too many around these days, are preferring to be jockeys.
