That's more than enough for Sprott now, time to hang 'em up. A decent servant to British boxing over the years but too many KO losses of late...

I agree mate he's long past his sell by date, I'm amazed he keeps getting work, stopping Sprott doesn't really enhance a fighters record these days.

Agreed. Time for sprott to hang them up.
Too many KOs early against guys he'd of gone the distance with in his prime.

That's 4 first round stoppages in his last 5 fights....his resistance is pretty much gone.

Can't believe Hammer's over the top celebrations at the end, I'd have been ashamed to be involved in such a farce.

Sprott, like Skelton and Danny Williams, should no longer be in the ring with ambitious young heavyweights. The matchmakers of these fights, and the teams behind these fighters, should have a good long look at themselves.

I loved Sprotts ability to upset hyped opponents on a domestic and European level, he exposed quite a few German based boxers with padded records during his time. Plus he managed to squeeze a win over higher rated British boxers every now and then too plus his, was it two wins at the prizefighter tournaments? Too lazy to look it up.
Anyways, to me he is the permanent underdog, coming to lose but always good for an upset.
It's a bloody shame but time seems to have caught up with him, he is 41, it wont be getting any better for him. I'd hate to see him go down the road Julius Francis did, losing 14 straight before retiring, then again Francis did at least finish almost all his fights on his feet, with this string of early knockout losses he should really consider his health.

I agree. It's a shame he's doing this now. I'm pretty confident that Sprott would have handled the likes of Hammer pretty comfortably in his time. Hang it up Sprott.
