Looks like the only balloon at the Aussie boxing party might have just got a pin shoved in it.

The script has been written. Failed drug test rumours circulate the Russians have the WBA in there pocket so soon we will here the WBA have ordered a rematch between Chagaev / Browne to settle the dispute. Browne has to accept or is stripped of the title and faces failed drug test rumours which are quickly swept under the table should he accept the rematch. Rematch is set for somewhere in Russia. Chagaev wins on points or stoppage (potentially dodgy stoppage) and everything falls back into place for Chagaev who then goes on to defend against Haye.

Who would know what to think about this?

Yes we need to wait for the B sample. But if it was a case of tampering, surely the A and B samples would have been tampered with?

It will be interesting to hear what Browne and his camp have to say.

That would be a nice script if not for the small issue of VADA being the drug testing agency that caught him not the Russian commission.
VADA would not have been involved without approval from Browne.

That could explain how his body shape changed so fast. But i really hope I'm wrong! Extremely disappointed!

Im with you Lairdy. I mean i don't think big daddy is a rocket scientist but not even he would think he could get away with taking drugs before a fight like this.

Unfortunately what he is alleged to have taken is consistent with his sudden change of body shape and being able to come in about 20 pounds lighter than some of his earlier fights.

Can't tamper a B sample. The seal isn't broken or opened until you or your rep is there to watch it being done. Is the reason for having a B sample, so people can't claim tampering.

Here's the thing, There were photos and a interview of him back in early January where he looked extremely buffed, I believe back then he had already lost around 15 pound. I know its possible to lose body fat fast from hard work - Also in this short period he changed the way he fought.

Changing your fighting style for a title fight is way harder then losing weight for a weightless division.
I want to believe he didn't cheat, And there was a lot of political puppets there backing Chagaev?. It would be a massive downer if Browne was guilty.

Hmmmm, because all 'roids, let alone a metabolism booster like Clembuterol, gives a fighter skill straight off the first shot, amazing stuff, it is! I agree with your scepticism whole heartedly. There's a lot better, a lot more accountable, legal drugs for improving cardiovascular limits, or even, plainly, EPO which isn't tested for in a fight or by VADA in this instance . I would do a smiley face but I'm not trying to sell anything, I am just stating the obvious (logical) truth.

Clenbuterol is an across the counter asthma medication under other names. After the Sam Soliman case where the IBF refused to reinstate his belt after his b sample was cleared by an independent laboratory I take all of these stories with a grain of salt.

My point is he did the hard work - you could tell with the way he was fighting he didn't resort to his old ways even though he was losing. I'm not saying it was because of drugs, And if he did need to lose weight then i doubt he would have been using Clembuterol a few days before the fight when your signing a VADA agreement. Also he was at his fighting weight in late Jan early Feb - I think the photos of him posing are posted on this site somewhere and on facebook.

I'm interested in the results from the commission drug test. VADA was used for this fight but they have no actual authority.
IF the commission tested the fighters did Browne pop positive on their test as well?
Yes, I know VADA testing is a higher standard and is not likely to be ignored but the commission has the authority.

VADA catching him makes it tougher to defend Browne.
EVERYBODY is suspicious of the commissions over there which is probably the reason that VADA was involved in this.
The Browne camp was smart enough to protect themselves against any suspicious activity from the commission but they obviously were not ready for VADA.

A third, if unlikely, possibility is that one of Browne's trainers slipped the stuff into Browne's food to show what results could be achieved under his training methods....However, according to Hatton Inc Lucas was clean before he went to Cheatch-nya.

VADA is based in Las Vegas, which is something like being based in Cicero, Illinois in the 1920s.
