Pro, Amateur, Neither

Just a little poll. I think many members on here don't say they were ex boxers for a number of reasons, maybe dont want to give identity away, which is understandable.

So a little annonymous poll lets see how many pro's amateurs there are here.

Nope, all you lot were good. Don't think there was too much in it between you and Michael in terms of talent.

Boxed amatuer til I was 19 then wrapped it. Couldn't be arsed with training after work and preferred a drink etc... Now mostly an armchair fan. Don't get to attend as many shows as I'd like due to work and kids but manage to make the odd one every now and then.

I like Belfast whenever Framptons fighting at home and I'll hopefully make the Burns fight in May :TU:

I used to be a moving punch bag for some amateur boxers. Used to turn up to the gym every couple of weeks and spar against proper dedicated fighters. I was good enough that they wouldn't go lightly against me, but I rarely won any rounds. Painful but good times.

Boxed as a Amateur Schoolboy/Junior, had a fair few fights lost as many as I won, lost interest in training once the girls & rave scene took my interest... but still love the sport :OhYes:

Heard the bag should get an IBF mandatory by the end of the year.

You never fancied going to a boxing gym ? just curious that's all cos I think most fans harbour a secret desire to have a go for real but think that they wouldn't be able to do it or something, when in fact you can see some really unlikely types walking into gyms all over and having a go.

Had about 20ish amateur fights 21 or 23 I think. Not fought for 4 years, going to have one this year, currently trying to get down to 91kgs to fight at my old weight of heavy but if It is too much I will need to fight at superheavy.

I'm a pacifist, the very thought of violence disgusts me.
