ward wont handle any top 5 LH. top 5 is kovalev, adonis, fonfara, bertebiev and egor in no particular order.
ward is weak, you heard it here first. he will technicle sound beat the cuban guy, although i can even invision him problems with him. but as far as the top level lh goes, no chance, these dudes are too big, to strong, they will f(&/($"$ him up badly.
also, go to boxrec and watch for yourself, ward got a 71 reach, thats such a big disadvantage considering guys like adonis or fonfara got 77 reach. ward better stay retired, he wont handle those guys, believe me.

Oh OK because you know better than the smartest guy in the ring in the entire sport. We will see. We will see Ward school these guys on the inside.

dude i am not even questioning that ward will beat the cuban guy, i even said it myself, but the goal should not be to beat a b level boxer nobody knows of, the goal when you are a top p4p boxer is to beat the best when you go up 1 division and ward wont handle the best lh's, bottum line, but yeah we'll see.

okay puff daddy, iv changed my mind. ward knows he is losing, i can see it in his eyes.
i bet you 20 push ups, that the cuban guy will win against ward. i cant do more than 20 right, got some weigh issues.

If Ward is on his game, barring a freak KO, I think he beats everyone at light heavyweight with the possible exception of Kovalev. I'd definitely take him over Stevenson - Ward is so much more complete as a boxer, I think he'd make Stevenson look bad.

being technical superior is great, but it doesnt count much, when you have a very small reach and are physicly much inferior.
look at floyd, he was technicly 10 times better than castillo or maidana, but they were bigger, physicly stronger and pushed him.
ward wont beat any top lh. i watched the dawson-ward fight again, poor dawson, he was so drained, he had 0,0 reflexes, couldnt get his punches of, he was just weak and slow. with bertebiev, kovalev or 6'3 fonfara, all in prime shape, dude they gonne hurt ward real bad. i am not saying this because i dislike ward, i am sayng it because this is realistic what will happen.
tomorrow we gonne see more, but dont forget what i said, cause even sullivan is gonne push ward around.

He'll probably fill out at the weight as he acclimates.
He's definitely a smaller 175. He's smaller than Gonzalez, Barrera, Kovalev, Beitebv, I think he's even smaller than Hopkins. I've seen them standing next to each other and Gonzalez arm width and mass is far superior than Wards. But that doesn't mean anything in my opinion these guys can't match Ward in the skill department. He's like Floyd Mayweather at this weight. Too fast too accurate to talented of a boxer for these guys to be able to impose their size on him.

Dude. It's one weight class. Not 3. The guy supposedly walks around at 180-185. Let's see how he looks tmrw. I'm sure he will look great.

For fighting on the inside a shorter reach can be an advantage and Stevenson isn't skilled enough to outbox Ward from the outside behind a jab. The only way Ward is physically inferior to most of the light heavyweights is his punching power - he was always strong at 168lb and I honestly don't think that the extra 7lb is going to make much difference. If Ward looks bad, it's going to be because of his inactivity and ring rust, not because he's too small for the division.

There is no way Sullivan can win this fight between Ward's elbows , headbutts and the hometown ref . Even a knockout for Sullivan would only get him a draw at best

Really interested to see Wards power at light heavy.
Against top opposistion at SM it was a points win after a boxing masterclass.
If he doesn't have huge pop at LH Kovalev, Stevenson etc might think they could walk through him.
I'm really excited about his move to LH. I've put money on Ward via points. If he stops Barrera it would make a huge statement.

Yeah that's true. Barrera would need a knock out to get a draw.

No, a knockout will guarantee Barrera getting DQ'ed. A few KDs is better.

1 rd 10:10 even, ward did some body shots, but was inactiv over the other period of time, sull landed some
2 rd 10:9 barrera sull landed one super clear big shot, nobody talked about that right hand
11 rd 10:9 for barrera
most of the rest of the rds ward won, expect the one he got a point deducted and rd 4 was also a sullivan rd
overall, ward won the fight winning around 8 rds, but i am not the same oppinion like harold who gave every rd to ward.
as much as i disike ward, i am very excited between what is arguably the best technician of boxing against what is arguably the biggest puncher in boxing. they MUST make that fight!!!!

You notice after the fight he hedged on fighting Kovalev giving himself the wiggle room to be a coward and get out of the fight. This is typical of North Americans the same way Canelo has done to GGG after the Cotto fight. The owner of the UFC was just talking about this today saying that this is why boxing sucks these days. It is hard to argue with him.

"You notice" that the troll swoops in to try to put a negative spin on an excellent fight, accusing a man, who just went 12 rounds with someone who would tear his troll head clean off, of being "a coward."
Trolls will be trolls.

If his next fight is not vs Krusher I need not call him anything. His actions will speak loud and clear for himself.

Ward's actions spoke very clearly tonight. He is a major player in the LHW Div as of tonight.

No.

Not if he does not fight Kovalev next. Ward fights sideways in terms of his resume and he has not fought any of the best at 175. And I am not sure that he wants to. He is perfectly fine building a sideways resume just like Floyd did, just like Canelo is doing. It might be in the culture.

I don't think that Ward should be expected to fight Krusher in June. While my posts demonstrate clearly that I have been critical of both FMJ and GingerHead, I think that it is a stretch to go as far as to say that their resumes are "sideways."

Canelo's resume is more than sideways. Lara-Kirkland-Kahn(moving up in weight) that is sideways. I love how all the Mexicans and HBO went crazy over that Kirkland KO, a sitting duck. Now he is fighting Kahn at some bullshit made up weight class that HBO is sponsoring along with cross-dressing addict DLH. Gimmie a break and I still think Kahn still may have a chance to win. But that is because I do no think much of Alvarez who's resume is lame.

I have a big problem with GingerHead not moving up but his resume is clearly solid over the last three years. I agree that Kirkland was not the W that some make it up to be but James is always dangerous. The Khan fight is a nearly no win situation for GingerHead, other than the $$$.

HBO will spin it as a big win that is for sure. As long as the WBC strips him after 60 days of winning against kahn (if he does win) if he does not agree to fight GGG that is the biggest thing for me because I am convinced that Mexican chicken will never fight GGG. Moot point to me.
