What kind of list is this. None of these are remotely likely to work for Sky. Apart from Lennox perhaps, but who wants to listen to him. I never heard anything interesting or insightful coming out his mouth.

Little known fact: Larry Merchant has a holiday home in Widnes and spends most summers there when he's not working. That being the case, him coming over to work is not as far fetched as you might think.

Widnes??????

Wow
Yep. Larry is a big rugby league fan and has followed Widnes obsessively since Jonathan Davies moved there 27 years ago. He's got the key to the town, is often seen stumbling out of Ring O'Bells, and has a tattoo of Fred Higgins on his right shoulderblade.

Any 'honest opinion' will do at this stage. I'll vote for Lennox.

He gets some stick but I like Lampley, gives a big fight feeling in a way a lot of others don't.

That being said, I voted for Al Bernstein, he's done some work for channel 5 so would be the only realistic option and he seems to have a genuine interest in UK boxing. Very easy for proper boxing fans to see through people that are blagging and that's probably what you'd get from a lot of U.S commentators/analysts, but Bernstein certainly knows his stuff. Other option from the States would be Paulie.

Also agree that there's a few already on Sky that would be fine, such as Ed Robinson, but for some reason they've given Halling and Watt the main roles.
